View Full Version : Two questions...
1. I need to learn how to make Windows Media Player play the songs I last played, before closing it, or at least load a playlist when I open it, like Winamp. I don't use Winamp because my keyboard's shortcut keys can't control it.
2. It's not really computer related, but I won't make another post about it. My friend has a Panasonic GD-87 mobile phone, and when she takes a photo with it, there's a very annoying camera-like sound. Does anybody know if there is a way to turn it off? Or maybe a website with mobile phone "tricks"? It just isn't available as an option.
Thanks a lot for the help.

I did a google on GD-87 shutter sound and I found a page that says you can but you have to upgrade the firmware with unsupported firmware. I guess its a privacy thing so the shutter sound is always on for...you know:sneaky:

Is it possible to eliminate the shutter sound?
Yes, it is, but only by upgrading the firmware with unofficial firmware versions.
unfortunately I dont know where the unsupported firmware is. Maybe you can dig through google and find it.

Can't control it how? You can set it up in the keyboards control panel.
Otherwise use iTunes. I control it fully with my keyboard (launch the program, scan different tracks, eject, stop, play).
If you still want to use Windows Media, you'll have to wait for somebody else to help you.
i think he means the media buttons on the keyboard. like theres a play stop rewind fast foward buttons all on like the top of the keyboard or something.
In which case you CAN get them to work. i cant remember if its a winamp plugin or just editing something in the registry. but they will work for winamp.

What brand of keyboard do you use? If it's a Logitech or MS (or any other major brand name) keyboard, then you can download the latest drivers from their respective websites and it will work fine (I know for sure that it worked with Logitech and MS). I have a Logitech and it works great with Winamp5.
I'm guessing you have some generic keyboard that came with a computer package though. In which case, you may be able to get an update to make it work. Search the keyboard for a model number or something of the like and then run it through google.
I actually used to use WMP9 for a while for my playlists. and it has always kept what I had playing last (in this case, my playlist) when it started. I'm not sure what the deal is with yours. :-/
I'm using Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop, and I was talking about the media buttons Null mentioned. I'll look for a Winamp plugin. Thanks a lot for the help.
Edit: Found the plugin. Thank you so much! I never check for plugins... So I never even thought of it. Thanks to everybody for the help again.
