Is anybody here into skating (board, in-line, roller,...)?
I used to have in-line skates, really enjoyed it!
Now I'm really interested in snowboarding, too bad there aren't any mountains here so I can only board indoors. :(
Skiing was nice too. :)

I wear sixe 15 shoes so I haven't been able to find a pair of inline skates that fit me since I was 15 or so years old. I'd love to have a pair though since I enjoyed them a lot as a kid.

Rollerblading caught the U.S. by storm in the early/mid 90s but then quickly faded away. After that, skateboards became popular and have remained so since. I do neither.

Used to rollerblade like 6 years ago but never stayed with it. Tried skateboarding but I don't care for it. Tried Snowboarding and my ass had never undergone so much pain before in my life.

First what are in-line skates? Are they like Roller blades or something? And i Skateboard only to get around, though i watch it from time to time on TV and like it. Snowboarding is fine but it hurts too god damn much. And i only Rollerblade when i play Street hockey. And i only skate when i play Hockey ( Ice Hockey for the Yanks)

What about skeelers? They are great for long distances. But I still prefer my bike.
Can anybody do any tricks?

:(
I've been snowboarding for a good portion of my life. BC, so surrounded by gr A mountains.
I just don't like pavement sports like skateboarding/inline.
I also wakeboard in the summer.

As in 'what are those?' or as in 'no I don't have skeelers'??
Skeelers are in-line skates with (usually) 5 wheels. They are longer than regular skates so you can have longer strides which makes them perfect for long distances.
Scooters anyone? It's funny, in Holland a scooter is some kind of motorised bike.... like this:

Yeah, that's what a scooter is here as well. However, we also refer to the unmotorized version as a scooter.
Scooter's aren't very popular here. They are generally considered to be dorky. Motorcycles are cooler.

Scooters are really a big thing here, probably because they're practical in the urban areas, which we have a lot.
I don't like scooters because they're associated with anti-social people.. or kids that wanna be cool but aren't. :Puke:
