Well, the other topics are boring so I thought I would start an Easter thread.
Anyone doing anything special? Family traditions, fears of the Easter bunny, etc?

I am doing something VERY special. I am getting baptized, confirmed, and my first eucharist all in one night!!!!
I am really excited! But I don't know what to wear.

I completely forgot about Easter, and now I'm hoping for it not to come so soon. If my swelling doesn't go down, how the hell am I going to eat normal food? :( I miss food...

I dunno, it'll be my first Easter away from home, which doesn't really bother me. I bought some jelly beans yesterday though because eating jelly beans and chocolate bunnies are the reasons that Easter exists.

I've got my god damn shotgun ready so if that damn Easter Bunny tries running through my garden again, he gets it this year

Man, Happydude. Do your parents celebrate anything?

I'm going to work on Easter. I'm going on set of a show my dad is working on (he's a lighting technician) called Dead Like Me. It's about a bunch of Grim Reapers and it's really well written. I'll be watching the performances and helping the lighting crew out. It will be a busy and long day. But fun too.

Aaannnnyyyyway...
I'm looking forward to Easter because jeepnut's slave up there will be joining the Catholic Church and I'm her sponser! It doesn't get much better than that. Besides, Holy Saturday Mass is in my opinion the best one of the year. :D

Oh snap. That's awesome. :D

I'm going to be playing DDR with Jen on Easter Monday.. all day. :D I can't wait for it. :D I should be doing something on the Sunday as well, like a brunch with all my family for my mom's side and dad's side. Oh wait, I remember.. it's my dad's cousin's family's house. Yeah, that's where I'm going.

But DDR on Monday! Wooo! :D

you have all day with a girl and all you're gonna be doing is playing DDR? :hmm:

Anyway, I'm gonna go with the flow...might go to Church on Sunday. Have a fun long weekend with some friends that will be back from University for the weekend.

That's the "cover story" man.. :sneaky:

My parents would believe me.. but in reality, we'd probably get tired in 15 minutes after three rounds. I need to help fix her computer anyways and we're probably going to watch TV together, and.. uh.. yadda yadda yadda. :sneaky:

Easter is always good for Candy. :)

Oh yeah, I forgot I'm playing Saxophone at Church. I just had to transpose a bunch of music. I'm playing with my mom, who plays clarinet. We're sort of like a duet now. :p

My Second Cousin and Great Aunt always come here from Pittsburgh where they live. We usually go out to eat, our whole extended family, and with a few uncle's and my cousin who always get drunk, it's usually an interesting evening. That happens Friday. I also play golf with my cousin and uncles at some point while they are here.

You fools, Easter was created by the Germans, as a plot to take Jesus out of the picture so they could do away with the allies.

therer should be an off topic thread, wherer you can talk about anything. Then we can see what the conversation started with, and what it ends with.......like the telephone game....Purple monkey dishwaher...

It's kind of like Christmas. Where do christmas trees and presents tie in with the birth of Christ?

DimHalo
04-11-2004, 10:57 AM
the presents are supposed to be in remembrance of the gifts that the wise men brought to the baby Jesus for His birthday. Not sure about the tree part though

Oh, I should have thought of that..I'm just not very religious so, er...whatever. Anyway, today I get to eat some homemade ravioli. My mom cooks that along with a ham, which I don't eat. Today should be a yummy day, but not nearly as yummy as Thanksgiving.

DimHalo

Why don't you eat ham? Don't like it or are you a vegetarian?

ZebraRampage
04-11-2004, 11:06 AM
Simple, I don't like ham by itself. I like it on sandwiches when there is other meat, but I just don't like the taste of it by itself. *shrugs*

Did you know that you can download your own chat robot and create your own robot personality?
What does "it" refer to?
I've lost the context, . Are we still on it on sandwiches when there is other meat but he or she just do not like the taste of it by itself?

Just to give you guys a heads up...April 15th is national "Give Someone a Highfive" day. So, when you are walking down the street and see a stranger, give him/her a highfive! You can get all you info here. http://www.nationalhighfiveday.com/
