So, the Major League Baseball season is upon us with 18 teams playing their first game today. Even though it is snowing outside here in Vermont, I'm glad baseball is back.

Anyway, what are your predictions, fears, and hopes for the year? I believe my Phillies are the best team in the NL East, however whether they play up to their capabilities is the question. I like the Cubs and Astos in the Central, and the West seems wide open. In the AL, obviously Boston and the Yankees will be battling it out for the division crown, though Baltimore isn't bad either. No one is excpected to be too great in the Central, though I like the Twins...Out West it seems that the Angels and A's will be the main contenders, but we'll have to see how it plays out. Obviously not many thought that the Marlins would take the crown last year.

Fist game of the Season man. Dont worry, the Brewers WILL suck. They have the lowest payroll in baseball. (I guess that dosent necissarily garuntee a team to suck, but eh)

I usually dont try to predict sports because its so damn unpredictable. I will say this: I dont expect either the Cubs or the Astros to runaway with the NL Central crown. I expect the Cardinals to fully contend. Who actually ends up winning the Central, only god knows.

Second lowest payroll. Please get your facts straight.

Oh, I think it's obvious I'm pulling for a Yankees/Cardinals World Series.

I can't wait to see the new stadium. It looks old-fashioned from the outside, and I love it. My dad and I plan to go to a few games. I guess it will be weird not seeing the Vet. Oh and the Phillies do seem to be good this year. I hope that the Cubs and them do well.

Understatement of the year.
