April 1, 2004 Today is a great day for all Nintendo fans as Factor 5's Julian Eggebrecht goes public with an announcement we have all been hoping for: the PilotWings series is finally coming to Gamecube. Entitled PilotWings: Freefall, the series is taking a much more elaborate approach with this new iteration. Set to be released in August in the US, Freefall will feature 16 different environments from skydiving over the Sahara, to hangliding in the Rockies.
"This has been something that we wish could have been announced earlier, but we had to keep everything tightly under wraps until closer to E3, we are bringing Freefall to an entirely different level," said Eggebrecht.
Wow, it's about time this happened. Can never have too many "lifesavers candies". Can't say that i'm entirely impressed though...Make it by august? Doesn't look playable, but apparently will be at E3

So who's April Fool's joke is this? Crash's? Gametavern's?
The images look like they're from some crummy old tech demo from back in the day :sneaky:

I do I do! Those looked a little more believable than these though... Maybe if these shots were shown before gamecube was released it'd be believable (as I said, they look like crummy old tech demos)...

maybe we are talking about something different, this was like 3 years ago, we did it at GT, maybe there was another one, the one i am talking about just showed environments.
