Need RE Experts' Help

I need a little help figuring out which route in RE is the shortest.

1. After obtaining the final crest from the first snake, what's the shortest route out to the door where you insert the crests? Right now I'm going back through Richards room, out to the entrance area, down the stairs, through the blue doors on the rights, and proceed out that way. But I have a feeling there's an easier path.

2. Is the final cutscene after you battle the last tyrant, waiting for the chopper shorter than the long-ass scene if you shoot the flare and don't fight him?

3. Is it possible, somehow, to kill Barry without having him give his speech about saving his kids for him? I killed him once in the tunnels, and he gave the speech. Other time he didn't come back with the rope (what happens if you don't wait for him), and I met up with him by Wesker, then proceeded through the longer version of Wesker's speech, and found him by the item chest on the way out, giving the exact same speech. Would it be shorter to wait for the rope, proceed with Barry alive and fight the final Tyrant?

4. Is it shorter to wait for Barry, get the rope, and then come back up through the hole, and go back outside, or ignore Barry and exit through the kitchen, and finally run through the mansion to get outside?

Any and all help would be mucho appreciatedo.

1. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's a bit quicker to take a right when you get into that hallway... y'know out of the snake room, out of the richard hallway... and into that darkish red hallway... you take a right and go to the hallway that has stairs that lead down to the one store room... and you go through the grey door and out to that hallway that has the door that leads to the crest place... I wonder if there's a map somewhere online hmm... Meh you should be able to figure that out yourself :sneaky:

That's the only question I can really answer... the other stuff has too much craps in it and I havn't played the game trying to go fast in like 2 years or so... maybe more... Sooo sooooooooorry

I figured out one. Exit Richards room, run all the way around the hall, and you enter a small library. Continue through that door, and you end up right by the steps. Go down and through the door, and you're in the hall with the door leading outside.

Problem is, I just started a new game, got to the snake, somehow he ended up on the other side of the beam. My shots missed, and he poisoned me, screwing up the entire run. Thank god it's only 15 minutes into the game.
