hmm...its not very difficult..if u take a few minutes to think about it...i just tot this might b interesting to c what everyone thinks...lol...
1. A man is condemned to death. He has to choose between 3 rooms. The first is full of raging fires, second ...full of assasins with loaded guns and the third is full of lions tat hav not eaten in 3 years.....which room is safest for him?
2. What would happen if u struck a match in a room filled with hydrogen gas?
3. A group of flies are trapped in a sealed jar. You place the jar on a set of scales. The scales will reister the greatestt weight when the flies are:
1. sitting at the bottom of the jar
2. flying around inside the jar
3. neitrher, the weight is the same in each case
lol ill hav the answers posted....in about 4 days time... :D

2. What would happen if u struck a match in a room filled with hydrogen gas?
It would be snuffed out. Oxygen is needed for combustion.

The safest room would be the lions who haven't eaten in three years... Can't have survived that could they?
I don't know about the second one.. I keep changin my mind about whether the hydrogen would ignite the flame or...put it out... Unless the trick is that a person couldn't light a match since they couldn't breathe oxygen...
The greatest weight would be if the flies were sitting on the bottom of the jar, right? They wouldn't be exerting pressure on the scale if they're floating above it...

Here is one for you guys...
A man is condemed to death. He is in an arena with two doors leading out. One of them is the exit, the other leads into a deathtrap. In front of him are two men. One of them ALWAYS tells lies, the complete opposite of the truth. The other man ALWAYS tells the truth. he doest know which man is the liar, and which is the honest one. What question can he ask to know 100% sure what door leads out?

No matter whom you ask, they'll both say the deathtrap door...so now ya know.

Heh, it's cool I stumped so many peoples. :)
I will now reveal the answer...so if you want to still think about it, then don't read any further.
The Germenator got it right. You can ask only one gaurd one question, and that question would be "If I ask the other guy "Which door will lead me to freedom?" what would he say?"
If you ask the person who tells the truth, then he will point you towards the deathtrap, because the other guy would lie and say the death trap door. If you ask the liar, he would still point towards the deathtrap door because he would lie about what the honest man would say.

1. The room with the assassins because they will have killed themselves by the time you get in there.
2. Nothing because nomatter what else is in the air, you need oxygen for combustion.
3. It doesn't matter because the pressure on the bottom from the wings beating creates a lot of downward pressure on the scale.
1. The room with the lions. They're probably dead.
2. Nothing would happen. The match wouldn't even light up. That is, if you find the energy to work your muscles.
3. Flying around. They'd produce more CO2, which is heavier than O2, than when they aren't flying. Making the jar heavier.

lol gooD job bube~ haha...here are the answers guyz...
hmm..but theres a slight twist on the last answer...it should b able to go bothways..cuz its either...(the answer above) or its 3. because of the pressure made by the flies while theyre flying...(wings flapping) lol..

For the fly question:
CO2, O2, H300, or even if they produce gold atoms somehow, the flys will always have the same mass if the jar is sealed no matter where they are. Conservation of mass. So no matter what they breathe or breathe out, the weight will be the same.
But the beating of the wings would cause greater force (momentarily anyway), which is another word for weight. So that could be an answer. But the backwards motion of the wings would cause a drop in force on the scale, so it's also a wrong answer.

If they flies go up, they are heavier. When they hang in the air, just as heavy. If they go down, they'r lighter. .

1. The Elevator
A man lives on the 15th floor of an apartment block. Each day he leaves his apartment to go to work. He calls the elevator and, once inside, presses the ground floor button. When he returns from work he calls the elevator from the ground floor, enters the elevator and presses the 10th floor button. At the 10th floor he gets out of the elevator and walks the final 5 floors up to his apartment. Can you explain why?
2.The Mystery Field
You are out for a walk in the countryside. You come across a field in which you find a carrot, two pieces of coal and some stones. Explain what they are doing there.
3. Bad Driver
A man is driving through the city like a maniac. There is a woman in the back seat. The man stops the car and jumps out. When the man returns the woman is dead and there is a stranger in the car? Explain what happened.
4. The Hanged Man
A man is dead in a barn. He hanged himself. There is a pool of water at his feet and he is suspended 5 feet above the ground. The walls are too far away for him to have climbed, How did he hang himself?
5. Desert Woman
A woman is dead in the middle of the desert. She has a pack on her back. How did she die?
6. The Blind Beggar
A blind beggar had a brother who died. What relation was the blind beggar to the brother who died? (Brother is not the answer).
"4. The Hanged Man

He propped himself on a block of ice.

the woman was pregnant, the man stopped the car at the hospital, went to get help and when he came back the baby was there and the mom was dead........i think lol, this is jus a guess :p
2 and 4 have been answered before me, in the same way I would have answered them.
5. Desert Woman: She died of thirst :p. Maybe...
6. The Blind Beggar: Well, I don't really know what "beggar" means, and I'm too lazy to look for it, but I guess it's someone who begs, and that that person can be female. So I say the beggar is his sister.

I would have only got 3 and 4 right, but the rest would have had me stumped. Anyone have any more
Here's one of my favorites:
A king asks 10 men in his land to bring him 10 gold coins each, each weighing 10 grams. The men all bring the gold, but his vizier tells him that one man has cheated. His gold weighs 9 grams. The king is trying to find the cheater. But he has only one chance to use a scale. He has to find the cheater in one move. How would he do that?
And another one:
There are three people and 5 hats: 3 red, 2 white. Somebody puts all 3 red hats on their heads. Noone can see the hat on their head, and they're asked to guess what color hat they're wearing. The first says that he can't guess. The second one doesn't know as well. But the third says that his is red. How does he know?
And another one:
A prisoner is abandoned on an island in the shape of an oval. He's going to be executed in a different way: His captives will set the trees on the island on fire from one end. And naturally, all the tress will be burned, as will the man. The man has only a lighter. How does he escape?
Another:
3 people. 3 black, 2 white hats. They stand in line, all facing the same way. The hats are randomly placed on their heads. The one at the back can see the other two's hats, the 2nd can see the first one's hat. The 3rd one says that he doesn't know the color of his hat. The second one thinks for a moment and says that he doesn't know as well. The 1st in line says that he knows the color of his hat. What color is it?
Those will keep you busy for a while... :p
