I'm three for three in guessing the winners so far. I wonder how many I will get right. Who is nominated for Best Picture besides LOTR?

The Germanator

Mystic River, Sea Biscuit, Lost in Translation, and Master and Commander.

Why thank you good sir. Hmm, that should be an interesting one. I just don't see the LOTR winning it though..I don't know why. Anyway, Billy Crystal does a great job as the host of this event. Highly amusing, I must say.

Sorry, 11/11. Tied with Ben Hur and *ugh* Titanic for most oscars.

what is with all the animosity against Titanic? granted, it is a pretty sappy movie but it was well done, just a little over-played

Though I believe it won the most ever for being a sweep, as in Ben Hur and Titanic were nominated for more than the 11 they won and RoTK won everything it was nominated for.

I figured this would happen. The academy didn't really want to give LotR awards every year so they wait for the third one and award them for the trilogy. I think it's great. They deserve every one of those awards. LotR was a masterpiece. It required experts in every field to make it possible. Hooray for Lord of the Rings!

I'm surprised that the Matrix Reloaded and the Matrix Revolutions weren't nominated for the technical and sound oscars..whichever ones that they were. There weren't a lot of movies nominated for anything infact. Well, good for Lord of the Rings.

I'm going to see Sea Biscuit very soon! :D I like horses.
Into The West is a great song! :D

And ZR, each catagory had a maximum of 5 nominees... And yeah perhaps The Matrix movies should have had 1 or 2 nominations... :p

Seabiscuit is a good movie, but it was just missing something in my view. The cenematography was jaw dropping during the racing scene's though, so it should have won for that.

Titanic sucked... flat out... SUCKED. Everyone got so caught up with the details of how they recreated the ship and all the money they spent, and looked over Billy Zane's Smidely Whiplash-esque perfromance, the hack writing that seemed more like a day time soap opera than a serious drama and the fact that Leonardo DeCaprio was HORRIBLY miscast. And for God's sake... MOVE OVER YOU FAT BITCH!! THERE'S PLENTY OF ROOM ON THAT HEADBOARD!!!ARRGGGHHH!!!! Awful awful terrible waste of film.

I think Matrix Revolutions should have been nominated for a technical award. Afterall the special effects were that movie's only saving grace. I think the overall awfulness of the movie cursed it, though.

But those are just my opinions, I could be wrong.

Ehm ehm ehm.. what do you mean!

Well, since the forums that you're moderating aren't very active, that means that you don't have to do much work here. So basically, when you said that you wanted them to be more active, you'd have to work a little harder to moderate, though I bet it's nothing much really.
