As Bush would say "Alaska contains oil, we must say screw everyone and go for it":D

But yeah, if this is true, then hot damn. I best enjoy these years before we mimic Soviet Russia

That was actually pretty stupid. I thought we were actually all going to die or something. Maybe America should put less money in military and more money in finding alternate fuel resources. There are probably ways to avoid using oil and still live comfortably.

Wow, great read, and I only read the 1st page. I'll finish it later, but I agree so much with this.

I would say that electricity would be the answer, but I'll discuss more about this when I'm done reading it.

Um...electricity comes from oil(or other fuels). Thats what he is talking about.

Wow, pretty depressing stuff.

Well, I guess when time comes and this issue officially happens, then I guess whoever is president is gonna be f*cked because he/she won't be able to explain why he/she didn't do more to prevent whatever might happen if the oil runs out. But I'm not surprised if this happens. All that is in Bush's mind is War. He's barely running his own country. He's running other countries. But I don't want to throw this off topic. So just don't give replies back to what I said since I feel that if it starts veering off course, I'll have to reiterate what I said just a few sec's ago

wow...i've read upto page 3 so far...some really nice info there, and so far it's a really good read, i just stopped because my eyes got tired :p

anyway, if this happens within the next few years, our generations will be screwed , we will have less and less jobs; fuel, electricity, water prices will go way up, and even worse so will food prices, as is mentioned on the site.

the only thing that comes to my mind is "aw crap!" :p

well, it will be survival of the fittest, and we happen to be the most fit... if this is a true problem (which I can't even begin to comprehend) we could expect some major wars out of this one.

-EDIT-

All that is in Bush's mind is War. He's barely running his own country. He's running other countries.

According to the article he may be doing the right thing... going after control over oil supplies. The problem is that the american people don't want to hear about this peak oil stuff, and would never accept "we need more oil" as an excuse or reason for going to war.

The way the article puts it, the "war on terrorism" seems like a cover for the real problem that's at hand.
