Damn. I saw this on the Dutch news tonight:
In 2002, Norwegian elite soldiers in Kosovo (south-east Europe) taped eachother while they were killing dogs.
They made a 'cool' video of it, put some rock music behind it and e-mailed it to their collueges.
Yesterday, the video was shown on Norwegian national television. I saw some parts of it on the news. Those soldiers were just laughing when they shot poor dogs who couldn't run away or anything.
Needless to say, everybody was shocked.
Here's the only English site I could find: http://mystickal.sprayblogg.no/190204210558_shooting_dogs_for_fun.html
GT doesn't have any smilies to express my feelings now...

Reminds me of how my dad and his squad set a possum(which was eating this old lady's chicken's) on fire when he was in the Army somewhere in the Middle east.
But doing that to innocent dogs is terrible :(

That's equally horrible, if not worse, do you know how it painful that would be?

Remember, owning a cat is no picnic.

Explain?
Uh, every time somebody mentions Norway, there might be a chance that the dog killing is brought up. Norway isn't about dog killing.

I think he was curious about your personal relation to Norway, considering you live in Canada...I think...

So because they killed the dogs, you want to kill them? Then wouldn't somebody have to kill you for killing somebody else?

Personal Relation? How about being Norwegian and living in Canada? :p
Well, part Norwegian.

only if he ties them to a pole and lets them run around begging for there lives first. but even then thats too good for them.
its one thing to kill people who are ****ing god damn assholes. Its another to kill helpless animals tied to a pole.

I refuse to click on that link... I hate animal cruelty of any kind. I was watching something on cable one late night a couple weeks back, and it looked like a home recording of a pig farm. So I decided to watch it.. don't ask me why. Eventually I found out it was undercover camera work PETA had done on cruelty to pigs. Holy crap, was it ever emotionally disturbing..and I was caught off guard. It's really sad that people can be so cruel to another living thing. Just because it's not a person. Egads.. now I'm sad.

Are you a true vegetarian? Or are you one of the many semi-vegans... like Pisco-pollo vegetarian (eats chicken and fish) lacto-vegan (still eats cheese products) ..um..the vegetarian that still eats eggs (I forget the name of it)... or do you strictly eat only things that are grown from the soil of our mother earth... lol, I said mother earth... I crack my sh** up =)

You don't seem to know what exactly an vegeterian is.
I don't eat meat (and fish=meat last time I checked). Since I'm not a veganist, I do eat milk and eggs. But mostly bio-organic stuff. Never eggs from battery-chickens or whatever you call them.

You don't seem to understand that there are different levels of vegetarianism. OBVIOUSLY you aren't a true vegetarian, due to the fact that you DO eat products from animals (eggs, cheese, whatever). The types of vegetarians that I listed, in fact exist.

What you mean is called 'veganism'. Veganists don't eat anything from animals. Stop being an annoying noob that thinks he knows it better.

02-28-2004, 04:56 PM
Then why did you call yourself a vegetarian dumb ****. By your own 'logic' you're a vegan, not a vegetarian.

vegetarian

vegan
n : someone who eats no animal products at all
Does this settle things, children?

Yes Mommy. Let's all eat vegetables. YUMMY! Well..I don't know where this came from. Anyway, to stay on topic..I wouldn't like being a vegetarian or a vegan, mainly because I like eating meat. It's good, but if I had to stop, I probably could.

I am amused by the fact that there was this war going on between canyarion and rottwyler when rott STILL has not mentioned what he is. If you've got such an issue with it why not talk about what YOU eat instead...
