Who has read the book? I have, twice, in English (not Dutch :D).
The movies are GREAT, but the book is better. :p
Gonna see TRotK a second time on monday. I've seen the others 3 times each in cinema, I wanna keep that up. :D
Got the EE DVDs. :) Tolkien rulez!
I've also read The Silmarillion and The Hobbit twice. I'm still trying to get through Unfinished Tales. :D

Glad to see my forum is already becoming active. :D

Ive seen all three movies. They were very cool, probably my favorite movies of all time.
I own the first book of the triliogy, and I read half of it, but it was SO BORING! So I gave up. I like books that are fast paced and cool like! :)

I've read all 3 in the trilogy about 4-5 times throughout my life, and about the same for The Hobbit, and I have read parts (about 60% in no order) of The Simarillion.

Yeah, I couldn't continue Fellowship of the Ring. Maybe I didn't get far enough in the book, I don't know, maybe I'll try again some day.

I'm, working on reading the books but I always get side tracked when I get to afghan I'll read them :)..
It takes a long time for the adventure to actually begin. Once you get 2/3's into FOTR then it starts to pick up.
The books are much better then the films. You should force yourselves to get through the first part and enjoy one of the best trilogies ever.
