If you can help, i'll really appreciate it.

Er...I don't quite get what you mean?

Like with Rosa Park...?

Do you a story of intolerance from Canada? Becasue if that's the case, I can't think of one.

Most people up here are pretty tolerant.

well something that has happened that affected people. like what had happened to rosa parks, she stood up, and refused to let a white person take her place, and when that started, things had changed/

Uh...I can't recall anyone having to overcome racial intolerance in Canada. I mean...during the whole black slaves thing, Canada let the slaves come and live here...if they could make it here of course.

I guess you should probably run an internet search.

Yeah, we don't dwell on it that much in school or anything, because it isn't too much of a concern. I did, however, hear stories from my old teachers about some events, but they weren't very memorable.

Google it.

Lol. :D

Naw, I was kidding around too, but it made me think. I think I've only said it a few times? I don't know, that's a kind of sub-concious thing I don't think about that often.

Well ok, basically this, during i believe the late 80s or early 90's there was a 9 hole golf course in the province of Quebec, which wanted to upgrade to a 18 hole course, only problem being the land they wanted to renovate on was Oka tribe sacred land.

Which pissed the tribe off something fierce. They had to bring in the national guard ( or lack there of in canada :))
to help this situation.

Also, in the 70's in manitoba, if you search for a man named JJ Harper, he was "Accidently" shot in winnepeg i think, if memory serves me right. Well basically the cop who shot him, was off the hook in 2 days, pleading self defense, and the whole native population in that area went ape ****, and called the whole purpose of white cops in native areas into question.

Anywho, i hope this helps.

Ya, and also look up all of the land claims that the Natives have. There are thousands of them. And recently they got some land up in the area between Great Bear and Great Slave lake... If we keep on giving them their land back, the map of Canada might look extremely different in the next 35 years.
