Here's the article (http://www.gameforms.com/news/?1078)

So wow. I wonder what this next peice of hardware will be?

I don't know, but EGM also hinted at a new Mario this year, too. It'll be interesting to find out.

Its that waffle Iron add-on that ive been talking about them putting in for their next console. And why not, I say? It'll make the perfect add on. Hot delicious waffles straight from your cube.

I hope it's a sequel to Game Boy Camera that's similar to Eye Toy. :)

No, becuase the GB Camera was strictly still photos while the Eye is more like a webcam kind of, with interactive games involving yourself.

It may not be from a legit site but everything I've read from it has been true. I'm pretty sure they take their stuff from IGN. He he. The gaming news world is full of theivery. And Dyne, I miss the GIA.

what was megaton again?Please...don't start...that...again...

At any rate, this sounds like Nintendo's Online kit with AOL...though rather late, that just may be what Nintendo's been researching heavily the past 18 months...

Or, it could just be iQue again, or the rumored IBM Harddrive...

I kinda like GM's Idea of a new awsome high resolution GBcamera...although I dont know if thats awsome enough...online sounds great, but with AOL?............as long as they dont force us to go through the, I guess its OK. That would be so awsome if Nintendo just all of a sudden went BAM BIATCHES IN YO FACE with the ONLINE GAMES. Mario 128 online, Zelda online, pokemon online. w00t!

The camera would be okay...

And online with only AOL would suck...

But the idea of all of a sudden having awesome online games would rock. :D But from Nintendo? Not impossible, but extremely improbable.

It's probably going to connect to that last port that's not being used right now: the one beside the modem/broadband adaptor slot. I guess you put something in there and plug this new device into the side. :)

Hologram machine, Nintendo! C'mon!

no, it will definately be a camera and will be called the GAME EYE, for the gameboy and the gamecube, if you remember back in the E3 days, there was this game called Stage Debut, which nintendo quickly removed from their website, it had the faces of people taken with a camera and put on video game characters faces, they had faces in animal crossing, and singing and crap like that, lemme see if i can find pictures, but it is a camera.

here is a picture of it.

Well, ofcourse they had to make some advances and use the new technology. IMO, they just took the GB Camera idea and improved on it. But aaaaanyways...

Hmm, I like it. BUT.. I'd like it even more if it came with a smokehouse/barbecue attached to it! I'd link for some hot smokie action! And don't forget that mean beef jerky. Tear your teeth out to a ripping game of Wario Wares.

I guess Crash is closer to the company than anybody...he's probably right, although that should be pretty neat, I dont think it's gonna be a huge seller or anything for Nintendo. I was hoping for an announcement for something to compete with the PSP, but oh well. Some places have hinted at the PSP going for 300-400 dollars, and im sorry, but not enough people will pay that for a handheld. Simple as that.

Nope, not the GameEye (since that's not a stand alone system but a peripheral anyway)

From the-magicbox.com:
- Nintendo confirmed to Famitsu magazine that they will present a new game system at E3 2004 in May. The machine is not a successor to GameCube or GameBoy Advance, this product can play back existing game titles. (Editor's note: Further hint that the new machine is a variation of iQue Player?)

From the-magicbox.com:

that would be ghetto if it was a variation of the I-Que Player. (even though I'd probably get one)..... but it is ghetto unless it is battery operated with a screen already attatched!! If they can make a 64 that small, they should be able to come out with their successor of the GBA like next year with 64 style graphics, not those crappy PSone graphics that are on the n-gage. Makes you wonder what Nintendo has in the works!

Jonbo298
01-08-2004, 01:05 PM
Nintendo will have 64 style (or at least better) graphics on their next handheld. If the N-Gage can do PS1 now, then in a year or 2, the next GBA can do much better. Hell, Sony is claiming their PSP can do nearly PS2 graphics, so why can't Nintendo?

Price, probably... Or maybe just being stubborn...

I'm curious as to what the new dealy is...
I've been hoping they'd do something to make NES/SNES games easilyerish available to gamers nowadays, not having to pay high prices at used game stores, or risk getting ripped off buying from seperate buyers... But I'd rather them just release more compilations on NGC or something...

Yeah it would be perfect if they'd build a machine that would play ALL the cartridges. Plus have an option to DL games (with charge of course). That way nobody would have to mess with a broken NES or numb controllers. :D

http://www.gc-inside.com/news/126/12628.html

You know that mysterious product Nintendo plans to reveal at this year's E3 Expo? The one that's not going to be the next-gen GameCube or GBA? Well, in an interview with a Japanese newspaper, Nintendo president Satrou Iwata let out a little hint of what we might be expecting in a year or two when talking about that mystery Nintendo product.

When asked about what the upcoming consoles will be like, Iwata commented that the current systems have basically reached their limits, implying that making a new game system similar to the ones currently available isn't something that should be done. He then went on to talk about Nintendo's new and unique game device, saying that the concept of the thing will offer a hint of what we can expect for Nintendo's new game system.

It has been heavily rumored that this new gaming device would simply be the recently released Chinese iQue, but after hearing what Iwata had to say, it's probable that it won't be. E3 2004 is only four months away now, and it will probably take that long to figure out what Nintendo has up their sleeves.

so that wouldn't make sense for it to be the Ique. But our camera theory still stands.

01-13-2004, 08:16 AM
Well, as someone said, a camera isn't a stand-alone thing.

I'd love to have a console that plays all the old games. ALL OF THEM!!! :mad2:

Of course, it could be virtual reality...
Reminds me, I gotta make a thread in the Old Skool forum! :p

That sounds nifty. But as usual, people's expectations of anything Nintendo now are very low. A new mario game *sigh*...a new "realistic" zelda *sigh, been there done that*

This thing has tons of potential. It could really help in RPG's. But I want to see some pics of this and the controls for it. Hopefully its not too wide or tall.

Eh I don't see the big deal... I mean it could have good games like any other system, but two screens? Two perspectives? I could see how that could come in handy for some games, but I dunno...

Nintendo said it was supposed to be "Totally different" etc from stuff we have today, but it seems more like a handheld with a silly gimmick to me... I don't think the future of videogames lies in seeing games from two different perspectives at once...

But maybe it'll surprise me... Or maybe it'll be the next Virtual Boy :sneaky:
