I just recently got KOTOR for PC. Installed it yesterday and everything was perfectly fine, but soon after I started playing, I began experiencing some weird sound problems. Every so often, the sound will drop to an extremely low refresh rate and play like a skipping CD. It seems almost as if the game is just dipped down in the frame rate, but the actual gameplay itself does not skip at all.
So, for anyone who has this game, or is familiar with the problem I have, help would be very much appreciated.
(btw, I did try a few things in the config, but nothing seems to make any difference thus far).

Indeed I did, and I was so happy to see "Problems fixed: Sound skipping issue". But my happiness was shattered when I played the game again and there was absolutely no improvement in the sound problem...
*sigh*

Check out the official KOTOR forums (if there is such a thing) and see if they can help answer your problem. Only other solution I can think of, is possibly uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

Have you defragmentated your HD before you installed it? If I were you, I'd uninstall it, defragemtate and re-install. Then you apply the patch and hold your fingers crossed.
I'm having some problems with installing The Sims for my little sister. Somehow I can't install the expansions, they don't recognise the installed The Sims Deluxe.

Ok, apparently I need to update my drivers for my nvidia gefore fx 5200. There's probably a simple way to do this, but just to be sure, it anyone knows how to update the drivers, please tell.

Sure, just go to www.nvidia.com and go to download drivers, then click the appropriate options. (In your case, it would be Graphics drivers -> GeForce -> [operating system])
Download the file it gives you and install it.
BTW, I have KOTOR for PC and I have had no problems with sound. I do, however, get this little glitch that my characters sometimes turn away from the person they are talking to. It's nothing major, but it gets annoying sometimes.

BTW, does anyone know if a controller can be used on this game? If so, is there any that would be recommended? thanks.
im pretty positive you can. just go out and look at some pc controllers. recommend ya find one with a analog stick.
or you could find an adapter to use a PS2 / Xbox / or GC controller on the computer.
