hehe. nice. but warcraft isn't going to be the game that you'll notice the most difference on. (be less choppy in big battles) but mostly looks the same on most computers

Dear dear... I'm sorry. :-D How much did you pay for that?
Haha. It's a nice computer. Just looks a tad spendy. Particularly if you're not building your own.
dells not too bad at pricing. systems are usually quite good. they just are a pain to do main upgrades on because they make thier own motherboards and such so others dont quite fit as good.
That new job must be paying you well Neo. ;)

Hey Neo, I'm only posting this in here because I know you'll see it.
My private messaging system doesn't work in my control panel... And I would have sent you an email, but "Sorry. The email function has been disabled by the administrator."
Any help?
probably another survivor related problem

Hot damn Neo, your set for a good year or 2. If the mobo supported RAID, you could get another 80 gig HD and the pc will run even faster:D
But yeah, Warcraft will never be the same...nor will any other games out.

Dang Neo ... going from the 3.0 to the 3.2 is a bit too steep for me Yeeesh.
Dell charges ALOT for the ram on the Dell.ca site, and I have not bothered to look at Dell as much now as they don't seem to have the Radeon 9800 128mb Non-Pro anymore, only the FX 5200, Radeon 9800 128mb Pro and 256mb XT ...ah well.
I have been thinking of getting a nice build myself as in
P4 2.8GHz HT
Dual 2x512MB DDR400 ram
128MB Sapphire Atlantis 9800 (non-pro, NOT the crappy SE version) <--- Hard to get at the venders I'm dealing with >_<
either a 80 GB 7200 WD or a 120 GB 7200 SATA
Asus P4P800 Deluxe
Antec Sonata (Piano black) case
Monitor: a couple of 17" LG flat screen options.
DVD/CDRW combo drive
The Graphic card is why I have not got everything together yet. The Asus P4P800 Deluxe does not have integrated graphics so I did not have the option of building without card and waiting.
I am pondering about getting a card like the 9700 AIW for $65 more though as it was offerd in place of the Sapphire.
Yeah I know ... a wee bit steep ... but is still less then Dell and at way better at quallity and upgrade options. :D

i hate you even more.
Hmm, and I thought that my new PC was good:
P4, 3Ghz
1Gb DDR, 400Mhz
128MB Radeon 9600 Pro (because they didn't have a 256MB 9800 Pro, and the 128MB one just wasn't worth $520)
80GB SATA HDD
+ some other things
Paid $1300 for it (yes, it's a lot for that system, but everything's expensive)

nice setup there.
I like the Graphics card.
Also Warcraft @ 1280x1024 will look amazing. Even with a lot of chars on screen. My 19" Sony monitor is 25ms and it looks sooooooooo damn good.

dell sends discounts out to most companies. company price cheaper then normal price.

You should have went for the XT. It just has so much more performance. :p
I'm just kidding. I'm stuck on my GeForce 4 MX 420 (not even really a GeForce 4) for a little while until I can get the 9600 XT.

The 128mb 9800 non-pro is worth the $250 price tag. Hell, the 9600XT's are usually between $160-$200. And plus, you can just flash the bios of the 9800 non-pro and turn it into a 9800Pro. I wish I had a 9800, but I'm more then happy with the Asus 9600XT I just got for xmas today:D
mmm no slowdown with WC 3 or the sims!
the sims for godssake, the sims!
