View Full Version : Christmas Events
Have you gone or are you going to any Christmas-themed events this year?
I had my Concert and Jazz Band concert two weeks ago, and I'm doing something tonight for a local middle school. On saturday, my family is going to the "Christmas Train Ride" in Stanley Park. It's normally just a little train ride through the park, but for Christmas they put lights up and charge for it. Some money goes to charity.

Eh, I went to my work christmas party this saturday. Would've probably been pretty boring, but thanks to a few entertaining people I have the privlige of working with, it was quite a good time. We usually go to the festival of lights in East Peoria, its a large drive-through attraction with many different scenes made up of millions of tiny lights. Very neat, actually. My favorite is the one where they show skiiers skiing down a ski slope, they move(well not actually, they really just flash one after the other to make it look like a skier). Didnt do that this year though. Thats about it for me. Not going anywhere, will be getting together with the family on Christmas as usual.

I'm going to a Christmas church service on Christmas Eve, does that count?

Maybe I'll got to the Longwood Gardens Christmas deal...It's just this nice place that decorates a bunch of trees and such with nice lights, haven't been in a while and it's pretty cool. Other than that, I don't think I'll go to other christmas related events, unless there is another Christmas party sometime soon.

I was going to go play christmas music at the mall and the elementary schools with the high school band tomorrow, but I guess I won't be doing that now since I have strep throat.

Not really any big events planned this year...I go to one of my Grandparents house this Sunday, and my other Grandmothers on Christmas eve...other than that, no. But around where I live, there isnt a lot of things to do on Christmas other than stay at home with your family and check out all the cool presents you got.

Yeah, pretty much. But that's mandatory, isn't it? ;)
I'm also playing Alto Sax in my church on a Christmas Jubilee night at our church (which is Sunday), and for the advent prayer on Christmas Eve. Thank god for being able to play Vibrato.. I've gotten a lot of good compliments on my playing because of it.

I went to a Christmas party at the church when I was still at school. And then I went to a couple of parties here after I got back. Other than that it is all relative. (stupid pun intended) Unless you count driving for hours to Florida on Christmas day.

well, my Christmas plans have taken a drastic change:
I was supposed to go visit my grandmother and sister a couple of days ago and then go to Florida for my younger sister's dance competition (she made it onto American Dance Idol)
but she fractured her ankle playing around a couple of days ago
now there is no more Florida and i'm not going to my grandmother's until this weekend
but my mom has agreed to go to church with me tonight, yay
