An evolutionary box, catch 22, cessation, checkmate, corner, dead end, dead heat, dilemma, draw, full stop, gridlock, halt, hole, impasse, pause, pickle, plight, posture, predicament, quandary, standoff, standstill, copulent banana, or tie.

I couldn't help myelf but to throw a bit of innuendo into the barrel. You have a good eye my friend, +rep. :D
BTW, it should be corpulent, not copulent. In an attempt to sneak some distasteful suggestions into the post, I messed it all up by making a spelling error. Alas, the fates are always against me.

Well, I don't think evolutionary dead end necessarily means extinction. A species could live on for quite a long time after it has stopped evolving. It's like what Mr. Spock said to Captain Kirk in episode F214...."A species
*realizes that everyone is staring at me*
*runs away*

If you're talking about the natural evolution of a species, it will not stop until it has completely adapted to all of its problems. However, I wouldn't necessarily call that perfection. A species will not (usually) naturally evolve (on a biological level) if it is uncomfortable. Rather it will evolve out of necessity.
You could be unhappy, but your body wouldn't change itself to make you happier. And I wouldn't classify that as perfection.
And at the end of it all, I don't have a word to sum it up for you.

if a brownbear turns away from a beehive and bears his bare ass, his brownbear ass is gonna get stung.
