Well I just bought a 19" Sony SDMX93 LCD monitor, and it rox.

I used to have a 19" CRT Sony Trinitron CRT monitor, but I got sick of the size and radiation.

During the installation of my new monitor, I had the CRT monitor on my couch, it FELL on the tiled floor and dented the top right hand corner of the monitor, and it's REALLY heavy!!!

To my suprise, there was no major damage, monitor worked as per usual. That's Sony displays for you! Bloody strong and well built.

I have a 17" TFT and there's nothing wrong with gaming on it. I play shooters, RTSs and more. It depends on the specs of the monitor, if it's good enough there's no problem!

well they say that for gaming, lcd screens should have a response time of 20ms or less. Mine has 25ms and it runs my FPS and most importantly WARCRAFT III :TFT very nicely. There is a bit of blurring, not much, but overall it looks much crisper, and cleaner than CRT. Especially with Warcraft, jeez. Looks so good.

And yes I do play a lot of games on my pc

Very nice bobcat. I've been tempted to upgrade to a 19" LCD. But right now, there is no problem with my 19" flat screen right now, so it's not really worth the money right now.

There is a little too much right now in that post for my tastes.

they are very clean and nice looking for text and things. easier on the eyes. Only reason im not getting one is because games / video look and run much better on a CRT.

that and im waiting to get a plasma monitor for my computer. hehe

Null u play Warcraft right? I can honestly say, overall it looks better on my LCD monitor than my 19" CRT Trinitron monitor.

You should try it and see what you think

I've seen it, and it does look sharper then 'most' CRTs. warcraft isnt video or anything fast moving. Altho there is some blur that i've seen on some of the spells but thats it. thats not the type of game im talkin about.
