I want to see LSU and USC in the http://ak-sports.espn.go.com/f/1917/8668/6H/espn.go.com/i/BCS/bcs_sugar.gif. The two teams that won their respective conferences.
I hate Oklahoma more than anyone here, but they're probably going to win the Big 12 so what's wrong with the rankings?

They're not going to win the big 12! They got BLOWN OUT by K-state last night.
Anyway, I LOVE it. I hate USC with a passion, and this just proves how much the B(C)S blows.

Tis a shame indeed...None of those teams should be excluded for a chance at the championship. The fact that USC is ranked 1st in both polls and isn't in the championship game makes the BSC look irellevant. USC could still get a split championship and wasn't the BSC made to take that away? I really don't understand why the NCAA I-A doesn't follow the leads of Division I-AA, Division II, and Division III and have a playoff system...That way it is settled by the teams, not some farking computer crunching numbers.

Because the BCS=BIG money for the NCAA.

College football is all one big sham...remember that;) You know there's inside money being bribed about. I like Oklahoma and all, but if they got their ass handed to them by K-State, do they still deserve #1. Unless all the other teams below didn't do as good as the Sooners did this season, then it makes sense for them to keep #1. *slowly walks out of this thread because College Football is not my thing*

I'm happy just because I wanted to see USC against Michigan in a Rose Bowl. And holy ****, it actually happened!

I agree with pretty much this entire thread...including Neo's post, to a certain extent.
I think the team that was robbed here was USC...In my personal opinion, the 2 best teams in the nation are USC and OU (yep, even with that loss). In any case, I'll be paying more attention to the Rose Bowl...USC vs. Michigan!!!!

Another thing that should be kept in mind is that the Pac-10 teams don't have a championship game. Oklahoma had to play an extra game against Kansas State in Kansas City after their "regular" season was already over.
Regardless, LSU is by far the weakest of the three teams. They're the only of the 3 teams to lose AT HOME. USC lost in triple-overtime on the road at Cal.
Title game should be Southern California and Oklahoma.
