They're both good, but Sword of Mana is what I would choose. Also check out Mario and Luigi.

I think Sword of Mana would be funner than the other one.

A sword of mana just sounds really weak for some reason.
If you're going to buy the game based on the name of the title, I'd definately go with Fire Emblem.

Sword of Mana looks cooler, from what ive seen...but Mario and Luigi:Superstar Saga looks to p0wn both of them.

i got Mario & Luigi but im not sure about the others
good game tho
****, it doesn't matter. You lose both ways by not getting the other one. And you better throw in Mario and Luigi.

IGN's review of SoM wasn't too great. I'd support Nintendo and get Fire Emblem. :p Ow wait, we have to support Square/Enix too so we'll get more games. :p
Just get Mario & Luigi. :D

Mario and Luigi is fun, I recommend it also if you don't have it.
But ignore ign's reviews on SoM. How can you ruin a game that was on the snes and ported over to the gba.

Square-Enix is just on the box because it's their "franchise." Brownie-brown, a Nintendo First Party (See, Magical Vacation) made Sword of Mana. So, you support Nintendo either way.
But jeez, get Fire Emblem. I haven't been enveloped with such a game in a LONG time. I actually take my GBA places, now.
