I just recently got a MSI CR52-M internal ATAPI CD-ReWriter. The problem is the drive is not be detected by my pc even though it's all connected. Can I please get some help on this matter?

Did it come with special configuration software of it's own? Perhaps you should consult the creator's website. Perhaps your skills aren't so evil after all? :)

my cd rom did the same thing when I reformated it.
I had to borrow ominubs for a min so i could load an os but then it worked just fine.

Yeah. 1 as master, one as slave. Otherwise windows gets confused.

But like others have said, make sure you have the correct drivers and the ide cable is plugged in all the way. (Make sure power is connected to)

Set it as master and set it to IDE2 and then just make sure the power cord is plugged in and it should work in theory :)
