Well I was bored last night so I decided to take the side of my case off and cut into it and add another fan. I didn't feel like using screws to hold the fan on because the fan itself just looks better as a circle in the side of my case so I used mirror glue. Anyone else done any boredom case mods ?

your poll is flawed...there should be an option like "I would do a case mod if i had the time and money"

hmm. well i was bored last year.... Bought 5 of the metal switches. you know they have a little stick you either flick up or down.

i took the cover for the floppy drive slot (what would cover the hole if there was no floppy) and drilled 5 holes. put the switches in..... one switch turns the light on and off, the others turn differnt fans on or off.

thats pretty much it tho. if i have time at somepoint id like to add little LED lights over each switch that light up when they're on.

As for a "suitecase mod" I'd never be able to find the pic, but I once saw someone who made a samsonite luggage case into a pc case. They had the motherboard lay flat in the bottom (Secured with screws of course) and added in a graphics card, sound card and hard drive. I belive they used a firewire CDRW drive.

Had fans in it too, twas quite cool.

Heh, amazing what a little google image search will turn up, although this isn't the one that I had seen before.

That is indeed cool, Stonecutter. And that "switch" that you posted was also cool.

I would also do case mods if I had the time and money.

God, I did a crap load of "makeshift" mods to my old case, but now that I got my new ALOT better one, I ain't touching it with mods unless I have something spray painted on one side of the case. Or I have a professional do something with my case.

Hell, me and ominub makeshifted 2 old power supply fans to case fans using as the connector the standard molex connector but we had to strip the wire coating and put them together. 'tis was great times, but now that i have a job, I can buy actual case fans now:p

I like my case just the way it is now. The biggest mod I've ever done is a stealth mod for my optical drives. Wooooooweeee.....

With Black Friday coming up this Friday, I'll be buying a lot of stuff for my comp. Probably a new HD, new keyboard/mouse, new burner, more RAM. Mmmmmm...black friday....
