Ok I downloaded something not sure what it is yet. I think it's a movie a friend sent me but I'm not sure it was in my e-mail with the extension of .bin ... Thats a really hard extension to find an extractor for. I don't care weather it converts it to avi or just extracts it but I would like to know if someone has a program or knows of a program to extract such things. Thanks :)

Stuffit Expander will decompress the file you have. Although, it isn't officially listed.

I use IsoBuster (you can get it at download.com) whenever I have to deal with .bin files.

It's like WinZip, but... for cd images.

O_o

BTW, if you have the .cue theres a lot easier ways of watching than extracting the .bin....

I disagree. For me, with that IsoBuster program, it's literally as easy as using winzip. .cue files are cd images, so often times you have to burn them to cd first. Unzipping the .bin is way easier/faster.

Wha...

Daemon tools lets u mount the image and u can watch it that way or make a copy of it with ur fav cd burnin software or if you just want to burn it fireburner allows u to mount the cue and burn straight from that. I don't kno when the last time i've used iso buster was since i found those progs cause there is definately no wait with any of them besides the burning.

EDIT: I read ur post again and realized what u really meant. And ya, deamon tools will do that for you. It basically tricks ur pc into thinking you have another drive and mounts the cue to it. All you have to do is point ur dvd player to that drive and theres ur movie :)

Ok back to this. once again I used ISO buster and now I have the VCD menu, but now it won't open no matter what I try and it won't run in my Media Player or in my dvd. And now I'm really curious of what is on the vcd :(. Any help would be appreciated

Now your probably lacking plugins. Whats the full title of the vcd or was there any .nfo file included? If so open that with notepad...if you can't figure it out paste it into here.

After you open media player, I think its under tools, you go to Play then VCD. But I would have be looking at Media Player 9 to see what the menu is. But search the help of MP9 for VCD and it says how to let MP9 play VCD's.

But if it won't even play in your dvd player, then maybe you didn't encode the movie to vcd format. Try using Nero or Roxio or something else that is more "reliable"

Next time I'm at your house I'll get it done for you since I didn't have any problems with vcd's when using Nero.
