If you want to know what that means: The Two Towers Extended Edition DVD. With 42 minutes of new scenes! :D I'm going to see it tonight.
I only paid €32 for it. :guitar:
I didn't wanna get the Gift Set, stupid Gollum statue...

My dad bought it on Tuesday. We watched it then :)
It kind of ticked my dad off I think... They changed or added a few details that weren't in the books. The only scenes I think that he really liked was the "Elven Rope" scene and that scene with Merry and Pippin after the Ents take Isengard.
I thought it was neat. Didn't have that "Wow, new scene!" feeling like FotR did though... Except for the two scenes already mentioned...

Editor's Correction: Angrist stated that he "got" the DVD which is incorrect. What he meant to say was that he "bought" the DVD.

"Its a quality establishment."
Nice for them to have a bit of comedy as well. Gimli's good, but just not quite as good ad good ol' Pippin :)

Hm this time I didn't really notice more humor, as with TFotR EE. :)
I dunno what your dad didn't like about it... I mean, the original movie (not EE) had more 'changed' scenes than the EE... comparing.
Some things were kinda cheesy though... Merry and Pippin growing like that...
Good movie! Much better than original! :D

I want it but I'm poorer than poor :(
I'll be getting the extended dvd stuff once all 3 films are out on dvd.
Like, they'll be selling as an extended special edition set or something like that.

Cheesy? It's from the damn book. M ost of the stuff hey put in was stuff they left out from the book.
In the book Merry and Pippin drink the Ent draught and get pretty tall.
Cheesy you say?
Bah. I say good day to you.

Ok I'm not showing you around in Holland then. :p
I know it's from the book and I'm glad they put it in, but THE WAY THEY GROW, come on it was rediculous. In the book they found out they were bigger when they got home or something.
Sons of the steward is a great added scene. Explains so much! :D

...they noticed it before they got home........ .... ...
and...uh...oh! I remember.
You know in the extended scene where Merry & Pippin get eaten by the tree? Well that was actually from the first book. And Treebeard got the line Tom Bombadil said. That was pretty neat.
