We got our new Computer back in May, and havent had a bit of problems up until now. Whats hapening is, Sometimes, not all the time, when we turn on the computer (we usually turn it off for the night), a fan or possibly fans (I have 3 case fans, or I suppouse it could be the fan on my Radeon 9500 pro) Anyways, some fan(s) make a whole lot of noise during the boot up sequence, and for a few minutes after, then they finally quiet down a few minutes after the boot up is over. But it shouldnt be doing this. Any thoughts/Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Just get new fans.. Sometimes they do make alot of noise when they start like the fans in my case that are brand new fans do make a whole lot of noise for a few seconds or so then they quiet down. I wouldn't worry so long as your cpu temprature doesn't rise aboce 80C

And how exactly would I go about doing this?

And I definatley dont want to get new fans...Fans should last more than a couple months...

ALSO: how would I go about finding the temperature of my CPU (Pentium 4)

To clean your fans disconnect them from the computer and then just wipe them down with an alcohol wipe or so :) or you can blow them off with a can of air.

you can also unscrew to top grill of the fan off (if posible) then clean it...

I opened my computer up(It was shockingly easy to get into, only 2 screws, my old one was a bitch to get into), it was pretty dusty, especially the Pentium 4 fan...I cleaned it with one of those compressed air cans(after using a little personal charm to convince the girl at wal-mart to let me buy it even though your suppoused to be 18). I hasnt done it since, so Im hoping I did it...

You have to be 18 to buy those pressurized air cans! Why?
