This is it my friends, the day we've been waiting for. Final Fantasy XI for the PC will be shipping to retailers in North America today. How exciting it will be to see how it fares in North America. Will it sell better here than in Japan? For the past month it was been the hotest selling item at all major video game retailers, such as EB and Gamespot. It's going to be interesting for sure.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to play it for another week or so. Curse my laziness. I will be picking it up probably tomorrow night though, so I can look at it and pretend I'm playing (the next best thing to actually playing). And for all those who will be playing it either tonight, tomorrow, or some other night this week, I would just like to say, go to hell and die.

That is all. Savour the day my friends! Mayhaps we'll see some reviews come up in the next little while, which could be pretty interesting.

well...im just waiting for a call form EB to go pick it up :)...i wont have money until thursday, so if they call within the next 48 hours, i wont be able to pick it up, stupid school, woulda been less, but meh....so yes, thursday, hopefully...until then, Dylflon, you are the designated leader of the Windurst division of the clan...

FFXI is great but im still sitting here trying to download all the update there are so many of them

I can't get the game, sadly. My mom is being a total ****ing nazi about putting her credit card number over the internet. I'm so pissed off. I'd be paying for it. She insists on being a bitch about it. Sorry guys. Keep me in the clan just in case I can convince her.

Say that you need her credit card to make an online donation to a foundation called PlayOnline that benefits starving children. $17 a month, but the first month is free.

Either that, or take it when she's not looking.

im applying for a credit card in 2 weeks, hopefully it'll get approved, until then, ill ask my mom to pay, and she will :)

as for having the game...EB hasn't called yet...i'm giving them another 22 hours to call, if not...i'll be pissed...

i have the game and the card all i have to do is wait for ominub to sit thru the 8 hour download for the patches and he will have his name then i have finish building my computer(probly next thrusday) then i will have it on my computer and all will be good :)

jeff you are going to have to go through the 8 hours download on your pc also and thats only after the 2 hour installation and registering process

I'm the only one in San d'Oria, but I likes it that way. My stories and pics will be completely unique, as will yours. Unfortunately, you'll have the hardest journey to Jeuno, which is where we're all meeting.

yay! im special lol...

anyhoo...i opened it, installed it...and when it said that they accept debit i was very happy.....then came the registration process....which accepts ONLY F*CKIN CREDIT CARDS!!!!

oh well, i talked to my mom and she said she will give me her credit card details :)...so im happy...i'll be playing (hopefully) by 8PM tonight :)

If all goes well, I'll be playing by tuesday or fairly soon after that. What you could do is wait for everyone else to be able to play it, then you'll enjoy it a whole lot more! And it prevents me from hating you in the mean time, I'd say it's a fair move.

hey me and ominub are already level 5 and the game is awsome but it never gave us an option to pick our sever so i dont think were on the right server so i propose a new plan.
i will start a divison on the server that im on when i get to like level 10 or 15 and ominub will just power level all day long.

Err... Hero... we kinda need everyone to be on the same server to have certain plans work. The purpose of a clan is absolutely moot if we're not playing the same game. If both you and Ominub are in the same server, then we may want to relocate... but if not, it would be good of you two to restart at Ragnarok.

Anyone else have ideas?

ill just make a new charactor on the Ragnarok server once everone gets going but for now i will just learn the game and it doesnt relly tell you what server your on till your on the server so were definatly going to need world passes

and happy dude i have my own credit card and me and ominub are on the same account untill he gets a job and i have some free time. and ill mainly be on from 1-4 am central time playing ominub will be on the rest of the time
After you're done everything, and you get the final confirmation before you start playing, doesn't it show you what server you've been assigned? Perhaps you didn't look carefully enough, cause everyone else I know who's played has seen this. If you see the server you're going to be on, and you don't want that one, simply answer "no" or "cancel" or whatever option it gives you, and then do your stuff to get back to the final confirmation screen, and you'll randomly be assigned a new server. Do until you find the one you want.

that dident work it goes thru a process of making your charactor then you have to link it or something (and no it doesnt say the name of the server untill your in the game i could have missed it but i dont think i did because i was looking for it damn hard and then i was in the game and dident care soo oh well

yeah we are both on sever Pheonix if people want to just start on that sever ill just get us some world passes for when you people get the game
