I have a question.... (yet again....) Awhile back i made a thread called dating your friend... and this one is entitled...
What if the person you were dating became your boss at work?
would you tell them to reconsider the position even though they have worked up to it, within 2 weeks if being full time!
or deal with it as if nothing is going on and it wouldnt hurt you work wise and dating wise...
or would it hurt you dating wise and work wise??

You just need to talk with your partner and establish an understanding that your personal lives and work lives are two different arenas and that they should not get mixed up.
But generally, it's usually not a good idea to do business with friends, whether it's a client-customer relationship or employer-employee relationship.
You might suggest that one of you consider getting a job elsewhere to ensure your relationship doesn't risk termination.

i work at sams club, and i could move anywhere in the club, just as long as its a part-time position... but i like where im at, im a cashier and he would become C.O.S. the managers above them said it was ok for me to still be a cashier while he becomes a C.O.S., but for me it just doesnt feel right, and i really think that this will hurt us....
and believe me... i'm trying to do everything that i can possibly do, to NOT screw up with this one, this time....

I dont think it would be a problem.
The only way it would be a problem would be if you do something wrong, and then he 1) Doesnt do anything because your dating, or 2) is very harsh because he doesnt want it to look like he's favoring you.
So just dont do anything wrong. =-D
And like GM said...two different arenas.
