I'm taking it for the second time. I got a 29 the first time, I really want to get a 30.

For any Europeans/Canadians/others who don't know, the ACT (along with the SAT) is one of the two big standardized tests used for College admissions and placement. The Scale ranges from 1 to 36.

No, I only took the PSAT and SAT and that was last year. I'm going to a junior college for the first two years so there's no need for me to take all the silly tests several times.

Good luck though. :)

I took the PSAT today... I didn't register for the ACT. I'm gonna wait until later in the school year...

I'm probably going to take the PSAT and SAT these coming weeks just for the hell of it, to see what I can get. The fee's like $10 for each. It's like an IQ test, but cheaper. Heh.

If you're a Junior you should take it in April.

I'm a senior, that's why I'm taking it now (again.)

I'm in college so I'm done with SATs and ACTs. Got a 31 on the ACT and I got a 1300 something on the SAT.

Of course, this spring I have to worry about the MCAT. :distress:

SATs are out of 1600. I never took ACTs, nobody really told me that I should. I got a 1260 on the SAT, so that was good enough...

I got a 29 my first and only try. I should've gotten a lot higher, cuz I got 36 on my math, 35 on my science, but then the English just took me down....damn that English.

I figured that would get me into any college I wanted so I didn't bother to do it a second time.

Some kid in my class got a 36. Of course he studied for like two weeks straight.

Actually, they aren't anything like an IQ test. An Q test tests your intellegence quotiont, the SAT's test onlyhow well you can recall English comp and how quickly you can do simple mathematical computation...and howw well you can fill in little bubbles... its like $20 at least... I don't remember, I took em twice and got a 1260. Got in everywehre I applied.

I'm a sophomore, and Im taking my ACT over the summer. I need to study some English, and learn to speed read. English kills me. I took this test called the "Explore" and it is set up the exact same way as the ACT, so its like a practice ACT. I new every single math question on it, and I wasnt even using a TI-83, I had to use some crappy calculator.

But read and grammar stuff...*shivers*

Also, Im taking a class called "Math CoOp". I am assigned to a certain math class that I work as a teachers aid. I grade papers, teach every now and then, etc... I got myself assigned to Geometry, which I have already taken, and Im going to use this chance to renew the knowledge. So after that class is over, and after Ive studied English, Im going to take it. Im shooting for a 30.

I all ready have a full paid scholarship to the University of Kentucky, so all I have to score is a 22, but meh...I want the 30.

Some kid in my class got a 36.

Damn.......

Fail, thats a simile. :)

I know it doesnt measure IQ, but it shows how smart you are. IQ numbers dont really mean anything.. If a test said mine was 131, and yours was 120, that doesnt mean I know how to, say, dance better than you. IQ tests are worthless. :P

My English teacher got the second highest score for the state of California in her senior high school year. Dylflon, thats Ms. Braidwood. You can ask her. She told me all about it. Heh.

I'm in college now so I don't have any of those tests to worry about at the moment. I took the SAT in high school and got a 1260. GOt a 1300 on the PSAT.

That may be true, but scoring over a 150 could be fun now and then ¦¬Þ

I got like a 144 on an online IQ test.

Im not sure on how accurate those are.

Ive read before that person should never find out their true IQ, from a real test, because if you score low, you'll think your an idiot, and if you score high, you'll be egotistical.

Happydude

lmao...144...you wish, online IQ tests are not acurate at all, and not just from your result, but in general.

I never had to take the ACT, none of the schools I applied to ask for it as far as I remember.

Anyhow er good luck, I think?

I've taken those things before too. The ones where they try and sell you something at the end that confirms your score, not accurate at all, they just want you to buy thier crap so you can "prove" how smart you are (and, thus, prove how dumb you are in the process.) The questions they ask are the same types of questions, but the scoring is all messed up. I think I got a 173 or something close to that, which is damn near impossible.

the PSAT's took place in our schools a few days ago (in case any students wanted to go to an american university/college), i don't wanna go anywhere in the US 'cept mabey MIT, but i don't have the marks for it anyways, so no point in wasting time doing a test....
