So who here has seen the new return of the king trailer? Freaking awesome, go check it out.

Who else has seen the new Matrix trailer. Cool also, but not AS cool as ROTK.

Thoughts on Matrix Trailer:

Obviouly they decided against staying away from the overly used CGI with the mechs. That is the only gripe by me, is the mech thing is really kinda stupid. Especially when they all raise up their little mech arms. Just before the end of the trailer you see a ship flying with a blue sky and a moon. So the humans do beat the machines eh? When Neo and Smith are flying through the air hugging each other, the building behind em is filled with hundreds of Smiths, and I dig the idea of neo taking aout 50 different sentinals with one wave of the hand, jedi style. ONe last thing, what is the deal with the Zordon (read early power rangers) looking machine that talks to neo. cause it looks super gay...we'll have to wait and see.

Return of the king trailer:

Completely loved it. Super long, great footage, especially showing the armies. Looks huge. There are said to be more than 10 times the amount of enemy soldiers in this battle as in the last movie. Shelob is great from what was shown, and the dragons kick @$$. I personally will be trying to watch all three movies in the theater that day.

Both trailers were awesome. But I'm more excited for RotK, skipping school and seeing it opening night.

*Spoilers for RotK*

I can't friggin wait to see Sam kick Shelob's ass. That was an awesome part of the Two Towers book. Also, the army battles are so god damn massive in this movie. From what I remember, theres the battle at Minas Tirith, the Black Gate, and I think one other place. We're talking huge numbers here. Minas Tirith will have over 100,000 Urukai, and the battle at the black gates, oh baby, that is going to absolutely own!

*spoilers end*

Dude, RotK looks like it is going to be so tight. The trailer looks so awesome and I can't wait to see the huge battles between man and the forces of evil.

Not to mention the awesome drama between Frodo and Sam over the ring and Smeagol. I can't wait for Shelob and that little sequence.

Matrix is also going to be uber cool. I think that Neo talking to the machine thing is him allying with the machines to defeat Agent Smith, but who knows.

I can't wait for wintertime. There's going to be major moviegoing on my part.

The only way the Matrix makes sense is that there's a Matrix within the Matrix. Neo shouldn't be able to manipulate things in the "real world". And Smith shouldn't be able to escape. The only other explanation is that Neo is a machine.

either that or its all a dream :p

and neo will end up waking up and ending the movie like that....but that better not happen for the sake of the brothers

im downloading the matrix trailer now, and as for RotK

the trailer was sick...i also read on the website that on teusday before the release some theatres across the US, and maybe canada, but it didnt say anything about canada, will be shoing the extended version of The Fellowship, then after that the extended version of The Two Towers, and then the return of the king, so t's one big ass screening, im guessing there will be breaks in between movies :p

if it's showing in canada, im goin to go see it like that :)

It'll be the extended edition of each movie, meaning 4 hours each, and in total it would be 12 hours long. And from what I heard, there's no breaks.

But I'm still interested in it though, if there were breaks, I'd skip school and go see all three together (I'm guessing it'll be something like 9am-9pm).

Oh, that reminds me, they've been saying that the regular version of RotK will be about 3 hours and 45 minutes. So the extended version should be around 5 hours long (holy sh*t). Which isn't exactly surprising considering that there is a TON of sh*t left in the story (the RotK book is, if I remember correctly, the longest of the three books, and the ending of the Two Towers book will be the beginning of RotK movie, so prepare for a long ass movie).

Yes, there is a "Matrix in the Matrix" as I see it... and the computers have nill power in the true real world, perhaps.

As the architect said, there were a few rejected forms of the matrix: A perfect form, which was rejected by the majority... and an "accurate" form, which was only rejected by a a small fraction of the population. Then, he implied, they made a flawless matrix which nobody could escape. That is, a matrix that has a false sense of freedom attached.

Yes, or something like that...

i'd be laughing my ass off if the architect turned out to be sum kid talking to a program (neo) on an msn of sorts....

I would have to kill the brothers if that were true.

So, there will be a marathon still for all of the LotR?

I will be there. :guitar:

i'm pretty sure it will be a matrix within the matrix... but that is kinda a dumb ending to a decent trilogy. what i want to see, is Agent Smith being a true person trapped in the matrix and neo, trinity, and morpheus are all programs... he he he....

or maybe neo is the only human, and everyone else is a program, that'd explain why he has powers and no one else does...

here is my opinion for real dont read if you think a spoiler might ruin your movie going experience. no, i dont know for sure, so dont ask how i know.

either way, I guarantee that the "bum" that is seen in all the previews etc, is the FORMER "the one" Mark my words, this is true in every way possible.

Actually...the third book is the shortest.

Trust me, i know. That why the left the end of the second book till the third movie.

Yeah, I just found that out, but it's only shorter than Two Towers by about 30 pages, and Two Towers is about 70 pages shorter than Fellowship. So either way, all books are pretty much the same length.

And never the less, there is still tons left in the story. A whole book and the ending of the Two Towers book (which is actually quite a bit, maybe even the first 45 minutes or hour of the movie will be the TT's ending).

Everyone thinks its a Matrix within a Matrix. im starting to think maybe thats a little too obvious.

SPOILER** http://www.xzaust.com/index.php?page=matrix **SPOILER

According to that site Bane gets killed before Neo gets the chance to know he's Smith, but in the new trailer Neo is seen talking to him... I think that rules that site out as false. (Plus it says Bane Makes him blind, if so, how does Neo look him in the eyes in the newest railer?)

But it does have interesting ideas in it...

I almost blew my load over the ROTK trailer.

It looks way better than the second. I'll be seeing it on opening night even though it's such a pain.

I'm not sure if I'll go see the matrix on opening night. Maybe, maybe not.
