I know this because I rode the E.T. ride at universal studios last year. And ET said my name. Rock on ET!

Yea, but hes allready said that E.T. is like his baby or something, he's never going to make a sequal to it. That 20th anniversary thing is the best we're going to get.

Sorry, but why would someone want a sequel to ET? Yes, it was a good movie, but I really don't think that a sequel would be approprate for the kind of movie that it was. What is a sequel gonna be about, ET coming back and killing everybody that was mean to him?

ET was a good movie, but sequels to good movies are never...well...good.

Actually, I read somewhere that there originally was going to be a sequel. It was supposed to have Elliot going to ET's planet or something...
I don't know if that was what Spielburg wanted or if the studio wanted to cash in on the success or what. Its been a while since I read it so...
But I agree, ET is one of those movies where a sequel wouldn't really fit.

I think the E.T. Ride at universal is the closest thing your going to get to a sequal...its kinda got a storyline...sorta...
