Just played Mario Kart: Double Dash at ECTS 2003 in London! And it's amazing (as if you doubted it) well kind of out side ECTS really on a huge Nintendo truck! If any of you just so happen to live in London or close to go check it out now!!!! It really is worth the trip there, The PS2 experience was good but they had nothing up too Mario kart I mien GT4 looked good and all but it just don’t play like Mario Kart! For once Nintendo have done well in my book I have pulled my Gamecube out waiting in anticipation for this one. One thing I must say is I still think the SNES version of Mario kart was the best! But this one comes really close so far (not that I have had that much play on it ….. Only an hour or so :( ).
Oh and as for Xbox games .............. What a total load of crap there! Microsoft has yet a again chosen to not show any thing at the trade only show or in fact any thing at all at London games week as a whole letting Nintendo and Sony pick up all the free publicity they can. Microsoft attitude of running a trade only show X03 sucks if you ask me.

I am glad I preordered Mario Kart. I can't wait for it. How was it to play as 2 characters?

Yea the 2 driver’s works kind of well not that I think you can really get the feel of it doing 5min games on a demo pod! But what I did find was you can use the swap driver option to keep hold of a weapon till later well still using other weapons via the other character. If I had one real grip with the game it would be its far too slow for me but maybe there will be faster cups later in the game.
DAmn that sounds like i'm putting it down so much! REally this for me is the best game I have played on the Gamecube by a long way ........fun fun fun :D

I like Mario Kart. In the newest EGM Rumor section, they said that Nintendo is thinking about doing a promotion similar to that of Wind Waker, where if you pre-order Double Dash, you get the N64 version on a Gamecube disc. Cool!

Unfortunately that rumour about the n64 promo disk arent true, however they are giving you a free demo disk when you preorder :)

A demo disk is better than no disk, id buy the game anyways though, cause it looks sweet. *flashes thegame a dirty look*

Why stop at 4 player? You could play 8 player, or even 16 player. Given, that would cost lots of money, unless you happen to have 8 adapters. Im sure gamespy will probably put this game online. But the best thing about MK: DD is its faster than the E3 version, its got the powerslide, and has added more depth to the battle mode over the previous MK64.
And MK is a chick magnet. Its the only game my sister (17) will play, other than Zelda:OOT, and Banjo Kazooie.

Yeah man the ladies love Mario Kart. And they like Monkey Ball. That game makes pimpin' easy, and usually, pimpin' ain't easy.
