At least for the Europeans (so far)
On a recent list of upcoming games for the Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo of Europe penned in Paper Mario for a 2004 release. Whether this is a straight up port, remake, or sequel to Paper Mario is still unclear. Whether this will come to North American shores is also uncertain.

Well, if it somehow doesn't make it to the US, then I'll have to make good use of my Action Replay/Freeloader.:)

I need to play the original Paper Mario, I never got around to it. How long is it? Im just wondering if I should rent or buy.
At least I might have this new one to play, anything Mario is worth it.

I'm not sure if this is an all-new game or a port of a game, if I remember correctly Paper Mario on the n64, never made it to European shores.

Hmm. If this is indeed true I may buy it. I missed out on Paper Mario on N64 unfortunately.

Jonbo do you already have Doshin the Giant?? It shouldn't be so expensive, probably cheaper than buying a new US game.
I know that at least France got Paper Mario...

Paper Mario is a great game...though Im not a huge fan of turn-base combat.

Hmm, I wonder if SquareEnix might take some development tasks with a new Paper Mario, seeing as the original was itself a sequel to the seminal Super Mario RPG, developed by SquareSoft. But then again, I doubt Nintendo-SquareEnix relations have improved to such a level to allow the aforementioned development project to occur. Or have they?

Well, there is a Final Fantasy game coming out for GCN, that's about it. But Square-Enix had nothing to do with Paper Mario, so I don't see their involvement on a Paper Mario port/sequel.

Incidentally enough, just a few days ago, I was looking on eBay to see prices on importing Doshin because I've heard its a good game, and they aren't too bad. Its roughly $36 not including shipping, which is an amount I'd have to convert - £3.00. If someone can tell me roughly how much that is in US dollars, I'll give them rep. (I'm too lazy to go to a site and convert it)

$4.72216
And, I never played Paper Mario either, I hope this is a new one.
And, will Doshin ever come to the U.S.? I thought it was going to be brought over?

Hopefully it's brought to the US. I mean Animal Crossing might come to Europe now, so lets give a fair trade off;)
