Do you mean as in the drive is stuck shut or it won't open when you hit the open button?
Nearly All CD/DVD drives have a little hole on the front of it that, when pushed with say either a toothpick or a paperclip that has been straightened, will override the cd/dvd drive and open it for you. Unless it's stuck shut, then you'll have to do some risky manual labor;)

Yes, please be more specific. Unlocking something can have many different meanings. I assume you're asking about what Jonbo replied with, but if you're not...

The drive tray works. It just doesn't load any CD's.

It probably needs to be replaced or maybe something came loose inside of the comp.

If you mean that it can't read cd's at all, that means that you need a new cd-rom drive. But if it doesn't "auto-load" follow Hero's advice.

Or get a CD cleaning.....CD! Those are usually pretty good priced. If that doesn't work, just get a new drive. They aren't very expensive.

Yep I'd advice a lens cleaning CD too. I'm not sure, but I think it saved my CD-ROM player. :) I mean burner. :D
