I called Sony's Customer Service today, and it was a great experience. My PS2 has not been working for about a month, so I called and asked what they could do about it. I answered some questions, and tried some stuff on the PS2, but nothing worked. So he asked for my email address, and said he would email the shipping information for the PS2 to get fixed. It turns out that there will be no cost for the fixing, except for that of the shipping! I was very glad to hear this, because some people have had to spend about $50 (or so I've heard).

Overall, it was a great customer service... And I was wondering if you guys had any positive or negative experiences with videogame Customer Service reps!

Yep...

Cool. I've always heard of Nitnendo having good customer Service but never Sony.

My Gamecube decided to stop working on Christmas Day. It was really annoying because I had just received Resident Evil Zero and Metroid Prime. I got Nintendo to renew my warranty on it though :)

None of my systems have ever failed me. Apple has great support though. Consumer Reports rates Apple's customer support very high.

My only console to ever break down on me was my original PSX. I had to spin the disc on the cd laser reader thing in the psx and then shut the top real quick and turn it on for it to work.

Heh, and I was going to mention how the Apple is the only "un-reliable" machine he had. Oh well.

Oh, and there is an additional 90 day warranty when I receive the PS2 in the mail! Thumbs up to that as well.

Nintendo's Customer Service has been good to me so far. Every time I tell them the problem, and if they can't get to a solution, they will tell me to schedule a pickup and they will pay for everything. I also use it just to exploit their 90 day warranty on accessories;) Day 85 "Yes, (name here), my joystick is becoming loose on my controller." (Nintendo) "Well sir, I can't help you much here, so since your controller is still within warranty, just send it in and either a replacement controller will be sent or we will fix your current one" (me) "Ok" thinks *Hell yeah, the system never fails:D*

Veritas support service sucked. Checked their website and found nothing.

Emailed em, wanted help after I installed their product properly on a new server (backup exec 9). They replied by pointing me to a website that was invalid.

Stupid idiots

My GameCube stopped reading disc a while back, and I called customer service. The guy I talked too was helpful, but the fact that I had to pay up around 80 dollars to get it fixed sucked big time.

It decided to wait about a month after the warranty ran out and then stop working. :distress:

But when I was sending it in I decided to throw an old controller that had stopped working into the box and see if they would fix it also. They did.

That's cause Apple's customer support is amazing. Dell is rated high too, worst customer support I've ever dealt with, problem never fixed, refuses to replace product. I will never give them another cent.

I called Xbox support a couple days ago, and after listening to music for a while I got this hot chick on the line, and she asked for my number  Went to cancel my PSO account and she said "Oh, sorry, I do MSN. Please call back later when our Xbox support guy comes in." WTF? I called the Xbox line, not MSN. I should never get these people! You could've told me during that long wait with music and MSN ads that I should just hang up, would've made my life easier. Dumbasses.

I talked to a Square Soft rep a long time ago when I had this ****ty website. He was going to check out the site and see if he would publish or something (I think he was just humoring me) and I talked to him for a while through emails. Nice guy, he was willing to help me out a lot. (even though the website was damn ****ty and I never really received anything from them).

When my XBox stopped reading discs, Microsoft took, fixed it, and sent it back all in a few days for free.

Warranty was out too. They extended it. Yeah, it was happy..

I just deleted my account on PSO, do you actually have to call them to cancel?

If you cancel online, it should automatically cancel the account within a week. I cancelled mine online and I never got a charge in the mail.
*Edit*
Nevermind what I said. I'm thinking of the GC version, not the XB version.
*To gekko*
I just read your whole post and I just have to say this...."That's what you get when a company that does too many things/has too many things at once tries to branch out even farther"
*ducks the stones*
*oh god, here come the boulders......cartoon run.....*

On Xbox, it's not handled by Sega, it's all done by Microsoft. So no signing in to the website and canceling. You need to call their customer service and cancel it. You can subscribe from the game, but you can't unsubscribe. It's stupid.

You can't tell if she was hot or not based on her voice, you donkey!

She could have been a horribly disfigured freak with a smooth voice for all you know. God...

lol...

All of my experiences of meeting girls online have been bad when they have really sexy voices on the phone! lol. They sound soo hot when you call them, and then you meet them for coffee or for a movie, and YUCK! hahah

Sure you can. I think you just have poor judgement. You can tell a lot by the voice of a person.

And Joeiss, why the hell do you meet girls you talk to online? One day it's going to be a 300 lbs man with a hard-on.

Joeiss

I meet girls in a special way. I tell them what I am wearing before I meet them, and I ask what they are wearing as well. I usually arrive a bit late, and I wear something different. If the chick is hot, I meet her. If she is not, I run away. It's that simple.

Xbox customer support is the number. Then go to Xbox Live issues, and Billing/Cancelation issues. Not sure which numbers they are, but the lovely recording will tell you.
