Anyone else having problems with MSN Messenger? Mine keeps signing off after a couple of minutes saying the system is unavaible. It's been doing this for 2 days now. I've tried it on both my Mac and the PC. Perhaps it's just personal account trouble? Or maybe it has to do with the router I just installed? I wirelessly routed my cable to the family PC. Would that affect it maybe?

It's because MSN Messenger sucks.

It's because MSN Messenger sucks.

Agreed. And AOL Instant Messenger sucks too, but to a slightly lesser degree.

(ICQ also sucks.)

msn messenger is being worked on as for i have gotten numerous messages saying that. MSN is my ISP, so therefore when one thing goes bad it all goes bad for me, but thats the msn update, and also IT JUST PLAIN SUCKS ASS! (sorry for the language but im sure for anyone that has msn messenger or msn as their ISP, they understand)

They all suck.

use Trillian. www.trillian.cc

It has every IM program built into 1. so you can use them all on the same little window. (msn, aim, icq, yim, irc... )

lol, i forgot aboot trillian, i use msn messenger and hardly ever have any troubles with it, if i ever do, its just a daily problem, as in its gone the next day. I dunno, i never really like aol messenger and same iwth icq. i like messenger 6.0 tho, as much as other ppl might not, its got a lotta stuff built in...really good, especially if your using msn plus as well

Well, it must be an account problem or some technical problem because I've signed on via Fire (the Mac's version of Trillian) and it signs off after a few minute in that too. I'll try creating a new account.

I just tried running MSN, and it isn't working for me either.

As for Trillian, well, that's like... super-suck right there. It takes the suckiest of all the programs and mushes them together, increasing the overall suckiness exponentially.

impossible to get more sucky then MSN and AIM.

trillian actually runs faster uses less system resourses and looks cleaner. And can do it all on one window. Set up right it does very well.

has some less options but none i've ever seen that are actually useful. then has a couple other others dont have.

its kind of pointless to use if you'r only using one the sevices though, especially msn because msn plus has a lotta features, can you get it for trillian tho?

get what for trillian?

and yes if your only using 1 IM program it really doesnt matter all that much. but as little as 2 or more IM programs and Tril makes a world of difference

if msn plus runs on the same network as the normal MSN messenger program. (meaning you can talk to thoes people) then sure why not? :p

trillian doesnt try to imatate any of the other IM programs. its its own program. it simply logs on to all the other IM services networks so you can talk to anyone on any network no matter what messenger program they use.

msn plus is just an addon, it attaches itself to msn and stuff, it kinda creates a subclass for all you java ppl out there...at least i think so, because you cant run it without msn
