2 cnc generals disks of mine have snaped in my CD drive ( not at the same time )
i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem with poor quality CD's?
i bet ea are too cheap to get decent CD's for their games :P
um. a CD is a CD bro.
more then likely there is something wrong with your CD drive causing the disC's (yes a disk is a floppy. a DISC is a cd) to spin too fast or in an odd way, putting too much pressure on them.
or you chiped or damaged the CD's in some way and the damage along with the high speed the disc spins at caused it to crack.

You could always just call them and see if you get an idiot to help you. Then possibly(I stretch that term real far) you could get a replacement.

Actually, I highly doubt that. They will just laugh in your face and tell you that it's your CD drive. A disc is a disc. There is very little difference between discs.
Now, bitching and moaning would probably work at a place like Best Buy or Circuit City or anyplace that has lots of people in it, becuase they don't want you to create a scene in front of everyone else. But when it's just you talking over hte phone with someone from EA, they won't care.

Then just tell them the discs broke when you were pulling 'em out of the jewel case, that way it's their fault. I've heard it happening to other people, and one guy I know who broke the discs like that got a $1400 software suite or some special edition or other when he only paid for the regular edition.

ive heard of other people complaining about generals disks breaking and ****ing up their CD drive too
i think EA programed the disks with some sort of thingy that tells your computer snap the disks and break you CD drive
