View Full Version : Half-Life 2...WOW!
I just saw the trailer to this game....holy crap!its gonna be awesome!!i never get excited for comp games either lol...amazing stuff. what kind of video card will i need to run this beast?i know my computer itself is good enough, but my graphics card is not.
it will have to be 128 im assuming (i am palnning on buying one soon...). i probably wont spend more than 150 bucks on one...certainly not spending 500 on a 256 lol.
hope the game wont need a 256...
thanks in advance...anyone else waiting for this game ?!

it (suppousedly) could be played on a 700mhz with a Geforce 2(I find this very hard to believe) with all the graphics options turned down. They recommend a P4 2.0ghz or higher with a Geforce 4 or equivilent card to get the maximum graphical goodenss.
why do you find that so hard to believe?
it'll prolly end up being a bit higher for min. they usually are. But computer games are made so you can adjust them to play on lower machines.
some people on online FPS games turn them down on purpose to get what they consider an advantage

that depends on what computer you have...if you have a state of the art computer with OC48 internet, i fail to see the need to turn your FPS lower
because on some games turning the graphics down makes things a little easier.
case in point..... Quake 3, turn down every evironment texture and detail to lowest. and the players stand out SOOO much more because all the walls are just a plain single color.
online players dont care about how thier game looks. they care about how good they play against other people.

Yeah, Ok.
You let me use your OC48 some time, I'll pay rent to stay in one of your guest houses.
