It's a day that some folks dreaded, it's a day some folks looked forward to (*cough justin cough*). But today in a press conference the WWE has made it official.

On Sunday August 24th, 2003 from Phoenix, Raw and SmackDown will present Summerslam. Since SmackDown has a PPV this coming Sunday, there main event hasn't been announced. On the Raw side...

It wil be World Heavywight Champion aka the Tropy Triple H vs the biggest waste of money (well behind Steiner and Nash) Bill Goldberg. In a match that has something like 10 moves total split between their arsenal.

If the rumored match-up of Vince McMahon vs Brock Lesnar goes down at SummerSlam, it will ruin the nice little streak of pretty sweet SummerSlams.

Wow, is that ever gonna suck or what! If it goes down, I'm calling it now though- Triple H keeps the title.

I can't decide who I'd want to win that match though. I hate Goldberg and he's worse than Triple H by far, but I'm so tired of Triple H as champ.

But perhaps even worse than that match is the fact that they're contemplating having Vince vs Brock. WTF is that? Brock is twice as young as Vince, he's a hell of a lot bigger and stronger, he's a damn NCAA Wrestling Champion, he's the SD Champion, he can beat Rock, Angle, etc. and they want us to believe Vince has a chance? He should destroy him in three seconds.

lol... if HHH keeps the belt, lmao.

Funny because this is one of two matches I would really like to see. The other being HHH vs Brock.

I may order Summerslam afterall. ;)

Also, I think Vince is a dumbass (had to throw this in). I think Vince vs Brock will be a bigger insult the wrestling world than Vince vs Hogan.

Vince we already know wrestling is fake! Why must you try and prove it again and again at PPVs?

Vince is an ego-maniac of the highest order. I seriously think he has something wrong with him that he will put himself above his product. It doesn' make any sense.

Meanwhile on Raw, they finally book Kane as a Monster by annihilating everyone (no burnt-ass JR needed to do so). It goes to show that when a story is told through a WRESTLING angle, its much more impactful and dramatic than setting an old man's stunt double on fire.

My only complaint? RVD's usage. This is HIS angle. This is the angle that could have skyrocketed RVD to the top level. After all, it only makes sense since RVD should be the one feeling guilty for helping unleash Monster Kane. He should have been kept away from that angle last monday and they should have built this to a PPV blow-off of the fued with a long grueling match where RVD goes over.

Instead, we get RVD squashed and a likely Kane vs. a broken down Steve Austin who has no need to the rub this angle would get him.

Pathetic booking. Goes to show what you get when you hire writer's from Friends to book wrestling... retards...

Yeah there HAS to be something seriously wrong. Did you ever read the book Sex, Lies, and Headlocks? That goes through Vince's childhood with his abusive mother/stepfather, him being sexual assaulted by them, etc. so I think he just hates everyone now and wants to put himself over everyone he possibly can in any shape or form.
