View Full Version : Is this rude?

Tonight, a couple of friends and I went driving around and went to Hokey Pokeys (its like a chuckEcheese). We all had a fun time! We were in two cars, and there were 7 of us (3 guys and 4 gals, and me and another guy were driving). 3 gals went in his care, and a guy and a gal went in mine. We then went to Tim Hortons, and after all the gals went in his car, and the guy in mine. I dropped the guy at home, and then we went to try to take down this sign.. lol. We were all outside, and we were gonna go back into the cars... Except once again all of the girls went in this guys car, and they left me all alone.
Now is it just me, or is that sort of rude? I know all of the gals... And we are pretty good friends. Am I being too.. I dunno... Too oversensitive or something?
Worst of all, is that I was having no fun driving alone, so I was honking the horn to try to get them to stop. They were listening to music real loud, so they went on the highway. So I just turned around and headed home.
Then... One of the gals gets on MSN, and was like "what the hell, why did you leave? that was so rude". I just laughed to myself and told her sarcastically "I was having so much fun all alone that I had to go home". (I know that doesnt make sense.. lol.. but you get the point). Then she said that I should have stayed because it was fun.. haha...
So she asked me if I was mad, and I said yes. And then she got all defensive! lol... I might just be a really polite guy, but if there were 2 cars and one was empty, I would definitely go into the car with nobody in it.
So I am being too oversensitive? Please share you comments!

No, you're being fine. It was rude of the girls to all go in the other guy's car.
Unless you're just a crazy driver and they were just being concerned for their own safety ;)
But seriously, it was rude of them.

A bit, try speaking up next time, you probably won't sound like a fool.
But ..err, Tim Bits! Woooh, I want some.

No, it wasn't your fault at all. It was pretty rude of them, and who's car were you driving? Yours? Your parents...?

I'll post twice to get my point across. Put yourself in their shoes for a moment, do you believe they felt they were putting you in a bad situation? It's probably second nature to hop in the car with all your friends. Maybe it started with one person in the one guy's car... the person returned to the last car she was in, and her friends followed, not thinking that there were two people who had to bring cars.
It's something you get for driving. Like I said, try asking for company next time, they won't think you a fool just for asking, I assume.

dont sweat it man. Yeah I guess the girl couldve told you that she was hopping in the other car, that wouldve made it more polite. next time they do it..bring up a dragrace with your favorite tunes blasting. i garuntee you they will think twice before missing out on an opportunity to ride with joeis lol

If you suck at driving or constantly hit on the girls, I could see why they'd wanna go in the other car...
errmmm yeah but if you don't then that's kinda rude of them (unless you guys were driving somewhere specific and it wasn't too far off... then it wouldn't be a big deal cuz you'd be all nice and back in a group after awhile)...
Not that I care... I can be rude sometimes... and other times if someone else is being rude I just sit there and don't really care...
I like bananas...

Joeiss, I don't think you were too oversensitive. If I had a car and people took a different one and I was alone, I would be a little mad. At least you told her you were mad. But being defensive was a little dumb.

I agree with Rndm_Perfection. They probably didn't know they were being rude! When you saw them go into the other car, you could have shouted something like 'Are you gonna leave me all alone? :shake:;)'.
Don't hold a grudge against them now! You could explain why you left, they'll hopefully understand. :)

for those who may not be familiar with the word prep, its a very popular guy who is probably homosexual but still gets the girls
Wow, that got a new definition in Kentucky.

Naw, the other guy is cool. He is my workout partner! lol... we're prety close. And he is the crazy driver.. I am the semi-crazy driver.. lol.
Umm... Yeah, the one girl I spoke to didn't realize that they left me all alone... Which again I think is kinda lame, considering its not hard to notice stuff like that.
Oh well. Its the next day, and I couldn't really care less right now. The last thing that I want is them making a big deal about it tonight when we go to see Bad Boys 2... Because I hate little arguments that go nowhere.. lol.

Really? Hmmm. What does it mean where you live? I may not have been really that clear on it, prep can mean a variety of things. Its basically a popular snob who wears brand name everything. But it can also mean what I said before. But I'm getting off track, Im not supposed to be discussing the anatomy of the word prep.
Oh well. Its the next day, and I couldn't really care less right now.
I dont know about you, but I get really mad when I go to bed and wake up and I dont really care that it happened anymore. Id like to be mad enough to say something the next day. If it werent for that damn night of good rest.

You're right on the first definition. It has nothing to do with being a homosexual. As the dictionary puts it:
1. A student or former student of a preparatory school.
2. A person whose manner and dress are deemed typical of traditional preparatory schools.
Rndm_Perfection
07-22-2003, 10:59 AM
In other words a high-grading, likely popular guy or gal. Brand name everything is just a side-affect... or effect, oh well.

Is there any way we can revive it? For the sake of your friends feeling bad about what they did and then they apologize to you.

Hey Joeiss. This is just the first of many time girls will be rude to you and piss you off. They don't realize they're doing it. They don't give it a moment's thought. Girls are immature till they're into their twenties. If they offend you they won't realize that they did. And seeing how they don't understand that they've made you angry they won't understand it when you get mad at them. So, they'll get mad right back at you because they'll feel you shouldn't be mad at them because they think they didn't do anything wrong.
The point is: Don't worry about, teenage girls are stupid.

Agreed. I wouldnt worry about dating until college, its a pain. Besides, it'll be more fun then anyway. Teenage girls are so naive, especially the pretty ones. They still think "I just want to be friends," is good way to break up with someone. :shakehead

You got that right. Teenage girls are horny as hell. Never get emotional with them. Get straight to buisiness. Use the power of the touch..but don't jump right up to the stairway to heaven :) . Just mild touches in non explicit areas will give off a message. Try it next time you are aiming to score.

I love pizza. If anyone goes to downtown Minneapolis, go to Pizza Lucé. Yummy...
There's also this place in a mall not far from the MOA, serves some weird pizza. Thai chicken, some weird white sauce/chicken/potato pizza, and some others, like duck. I was scared looking at the menu, but it was really good :D
