Mainly because the TriForce isn't popular enough in the US and EU. :unsure:

Well, that doesn't stop you from throwing snowballs, now does it? :)

I read about that awhile ago. Sucks that had to happen, but arcades aren't as popular in the US as they used to be. The swap files has been tried before, but never got very popular.

Aw Damn, I was really looking forward to this. It would have been cool to see what stuff you could get from the arcade game. I guess F-Zero GX will have enough great stuff though, so it's not the end of the world.

I highly doubt any arcades around here will get the Arcade unit anyways...Kudo's to Nintendo/Sega for trying though.
It's pretty sad but arcades are dying pretty quickly; I wouldn't be suprised. ;_;

Yes, the arcade dealy will only be for Japan where arcades still do fairly well. Arcades have gone down the hole here, and it cost like a dollar to play once for many of the big machines such as AX's.

If Nintendo/Sega "forgets" to take out the exclusive things you get if you linked up with the US version (AX and GX), there is always the good ol' Action Replay.:D

Sean O'Neill co-owner of GCAdvanced.com contacted Tom Stratton from Nintendo today to get an update on this story. Looks like F-Zero fans need not worry as Mr. Stratton cleared things up and stated that the US game WILL allow the arcade hook up just like Japan.
;)
Well, whatever happens iwth this arcade thing, i wouldn't have used the connection stuff anyway.

Now that I think about it, if I could find the Arcade unit, I think I actually would use the connection features. I mean, how hard is it to stick your memory card in your pocket before you leave for the Arcade?

I was guessing that it was still going to do the connectivity thing here in the US. Because I picked up a new Summer edition of the thing Nintendo has for free that showcases 'Cube/GBA games and other things. And it said in there that F-Zero would allow the hookup. I dont know when they printed it, but I'm guessing that the feature wasn't going away unless they wanted to deceive gamers.:unsure:
