This thread is for members to publish their own storylines and ideas as to where the WWE should go to improve their product. I will be back later this weekend with my first idea, the topic being "How to Bring Steve Corino in the WWE and How It Could Turn the Company Around".
I can't wait, Steve Corino= The best.
And I kinda suck at thinking of ideas, sometimes I think of good storylines but whatever...
Anyways, one idea is that they could go for a more athletic approach. Fact is, they suck at doing soap opera-like storylines. The last 3 years have been filled with ****ty storylines for the most part, but they have the talent available to make it more of a sport. There can be a place for Big Show and others like that, but you have to play to your advantages. There's a ton of guys on their roster who can go out in the ring and have great matches, and there's few guys who can act great and make a storyline work. Considering the fact that the writers suck too, makes it hard to have a good storyline.
I say, try getting Low Ki, Christopher Daniels, etc. Guys who can wrestle. It's not like the crowd won't love it, when Low Ki was on Velocity a while ago against like Crash Holly or something, the crowd was eating out of his hands.
What I mean is, (re)educate the fans on the wrestling portion of world WRESTLING entertainment. What they're doing now isn't working, but I think they have some more problems other than ****ty storylines of course.
Oh yeah, and one immediate thing that would help- Turn Jericho face and have him cleanly beat Triple H for the Title. DAMMIT DO IT ALREADY.

Getting Steve Corino Over in the WWE
It has been discussed and ranted on this site many many times in the past, so I am sure I’m not saying anything new or mind blowing by saying that the WWE is missing the boat on Steve Corino. The man is money wherever he goes, an the WWE just can’t seem to grasp that fact, and what makes it worse is that we all know why the WWE cannot grasp it.
Size.
Vincey-poo loves the big men, and always has. It makes sense to him, I’m sure, as he built his company around Hulk Hogan in the 80’s. Even with as big as Hogan was, he would find ways to make Hogan seem to be the underdog by booking him against opponents who were even bigger. The list reads as a who’s who of legendary big men… and Zeus. RIMSHOT!
It made sense at the time as he made a regional carnival show into a national giant and now permanent fixture of American culture. But times… they are a changin’.
The wrestling world has changed and the fans are no longer the same snaggle toothed, mullet headed, digital watch having, mesh tank-top wearing true marks of old. When was the last time you heard of a wrestler being stabbed by a pencil on the way to the ring or having acid thrown on them?
The wrestling fan is also not predominantly the doe-eyed 8 year old who watched every Saturday morning to see their hero face the evil ones with their cardigan-sweater wearing parents digging on the “prayers” and “vitamins” message being sent.
Today’s wrestling fans are SMART. Yes, I used the term that makes insiders scoff and wrestling giggle. While not all wrestling fans are sick bastards like myself who collect tapes and just had to win the bidding on a circa 1992 Big Van Vader T-Shirt on E-Bay, but all wrestling fans today:
1) Know that wrestling is “fake”. See the stabbing and acid throwing comments above. This kills the “big man” push in today’s scene as fans don’t care about reality, they want to watch someone who can either work, talk or both. A-Train can’t do any of them and he couldn’t get over if Vince slipped a trampoline under his ass.
2) Have at least a LITTLE knowledge as to the history of wrestling, even if it was just as far back as Bret Hart’s championship runs. Example: Chainsaw Charley. Everyone knew it was Terry Funk and the WWE was forced to unmask the legend. The question is: If WWE fans are mainly casual “marks”, how would they know who Terry Funk was? He hadn’t wrestled for the WWE for years and was off of national TV for quite some time. Answer: The fans are more knowledgeable than we think.
3) Want to be ENTERTAINED. If the fans aren’t intrigued anymore because they know that it doesn’t matter how big someone is, why push a big man with no personality who can’t work? Its not entertaining, and the ratings are showing this.
I firmly believe that wrestling fans that have left the WWE product have left it because the WWE does not want to face the facts listed above. He needs to look past size, and realize that no matter how big someone is, if they have a small personality either on the mic or in the ring, they will fail. The perfect person to hire after this realiation is made is Steve Corino, and I would use the fact that Vince dislikes small wrestlers to get him, and other smaller workers who can’t get a push some valuable heat. So before I begin my fantasy booking… HIT MY MUSIC!
Smackdown
Steve Corino is introduced as the new back stage interviewer. He can get referenced by Taz, having known him in ECW and Taz can use the a little time giving a few comments to the fact that Corino is a legitimate in-ring tough guy, referencing the scars on his forehead, and the “King of Old School”. He can even wonder why he’s not in the ring wrestling. After this, the references to him being an in ring performer would be passing with not much into it but “I wouldn’t push Corino around”, etc. Its just to establish to the fans that do not know him that he can take care of himself.
As he interviews, the way he is treated by the wrestlers is reminiscent of how Coach is treated on Raw. He is cut-off, pie faced and pushed around, but instead of laughing it off ala Coach, he becomes angry and as the passing weeks go by he is visibly having a harder and harder time hiding his rage, and even starts ripping on the wrestlers he is interviewing the way that only Corino, which leads to more abuse by his interviewee’s.
Finally, after having Rhino push him around a little during an interview and dismiss him, Corino grabs the mic and says:
“Rhino, what the hell? We came from the same place, we both came up in ECW, and now your going to stand there and act like I’m some friggin’ moron, like the Coach? Show me some goddamn RESPECT!” To which Rhino says:
“Respect? When was the last time you laced up the boots and took a chair to the head. Shut up!” And he pushes Corino out of the camera shot and starts to talk about his upcoming match. Before he can get 2 words out Corino runs in from the side, hitting him with a steel chair and says:
“I may not have taken a chair to the dome in a while, but I sure as hell can still swing one. How bout when you come to, you meet me in the ring, BITCH!” Corino leaves and Rhino slowly rises, very angrily.
Commercial
Corino walks out to the ring with no entrance music or pyro. He is still in his khakis and dress shoes and grabs the mic.
“I have sat in the back, and taken every single wrestler’s abuse since I first started working here, and I’m SICK of it! I’m not some pasty faced jackass who’s just happy to have a job in wrestling. I’m Steve Corino. I’m the King of Old School, and I will NOT be disrespected by ANYONE, especially not some freak who names himself after zoo animals. So from now on, I’m no longer Steve Corino, mild mannered reporter. I’m Steve Corino: King of Old School and Kicker of ASS! And Rhino, your ass is first!”
Note: I would ot presume to give Steve Corino a static script, as whatever he would add to it would no doubt be better than my cliched rantings. Its just a general idea of what he should say.
Rhino would then storm out of the back with his music blaring, while Corino would be in the ring screaming at him to “bring it”. This would be a very emotional and animated sequence. And in the tradition of ECW, we have an impromptu match a referee runs from the back.
The match would start and would have to be booked carefully. I would have a match under 4 minutes of very quick, hard hitting action (no bleeding by Corino… that must be saved for a few weeks) that goes back and forth but with Rhino eventually Goring Corino through the ropes to the outside. Rhino would fall outside the ring and both men would be down. Rhino slowly gets up as Corino scrambles to get away while clutching his stomach. Rhino gives chase and as he turns the corner of the ring post, Corino grabs a chair from under the ring an pastes Rhino’s head with it. Corino starts yelling insults at Rhino and then throws him in the ring as the ref hits the bell for the DQ.
With Rhino on the far side of the ring away from the entrance, Corino with chair in hand waits for Rhino to get back up so he can hit him again. From the back Chris Benoit runs down the ramp and toward the ring. Hearing the crowd reaction Corino turns and plays defensive (“please don’t hurt me” type stuff). Benoit runs in the ring and throws a clothesline that Corino ducks, but nails Rhino as he returns to standing. Benoit looks down at Rhino holding his head in the traditional “what did I just do?” manner, looks at Corino, and then starts nailing RHYNO. Corino joins in, and Benoit stands Rhyno up for one more chair shot. They then both leave up the ramp slowly, Benoit toothlessly smiling and Corino still yelling at Rhino. End of segment before commercial.
Later in the show, some interviewer comes up to Corino and Benoit in the back:
“After seeing what you 2 did to Rhyno is the ring I’m confused. Chris, I thought you and Rhyno were friends, and Steve… I thought you were an announcer!”
“You want to know why? Don’t’ worry, you’ll find out later tonight. We’re not done yet.” And they walk away. End of segment.

I think WWE should kill the split shows, I've said it a hundred times before, and I'm going to say it again.
Killing the Split. Phase 1
The Opening Blow that destroys the split should be taking the Belt from Brock...
Ok, before I continue, I have to say that in this War, Smackdown will need to be the "good guys" in the situation, and Raw needs to be the bad guys. Why? Well, look at Raw, They have all the heels they will ever need, and Smackdown actually has faces who the crowd love. So, I say let HHH keep his trophy for the war at least.
...It should start with a Raw wrestler coming to SD and annoying the hell out of Brock and Angle and Steph. I don't know exactly who would work here, but I am going to say Jericho because he has the Mic skills.
Every time Brock Fights, Jericho should come out to Ring side and try to make him lose, week after week after week, and at one point (a PVV) have Jericho almost cost him the title.
Then, the next week, with Jericho still under contract to Raw, Brock should Call him out and Jericho will deny every match he wants unless there is a title involved. Of course, Brock will accept a title match with Jericho for the next PPV... or, to make it even more blockbuster, the next Smackdown.
In this match Brock should beat the hell out of Jericho, but, in the end, have another Raw Roster wrestler interfere and put Brock to sleep so Jericho can win the title. Who should do this? HHH (and evolution) of course ;)
Then, Jericho should make the painful announcement after the match that he is never going to show his face on Smackdown again...
ok, the reason for this set up (if you already haven't figured out) is to give Smackdown a motive to fight Raw, this is the start of low blows
On the next Raw, Bischoff should announce that it was all his plan to prove once again that Raw is the superior product. But after his gloating, Steph should come out on Raw and announce that Brock has a re-match clause in his contract, and that Jericho will have to defend his title the next Week against Brock.
Bishoff angry at first should get happy and be proud to announce that Jericho vs Brock for the Title will be on Raw, and Steph is fine with it... Then Brock comes out and announces that he wants a HIAC match to keep interference away. Brock and Steph exit the arena and the show is back to normal.
Ok, what have I done? If you really think about it, the shows have already been merged if this event were to happen, but read on, it gets worse
The night that Bischoff announced the HIAC for next week, he also announces that the Main event for the Show will be Jericho vs HHH, why? To solidify the Title as being Raw exclusive. Of course, everybody thinks Jericho will lose.
In the match Jericho and HHH will be battling it out, evolution will interfere numerous times to keep Jericho from beating HHH, and with a nasty ending HHH will pedigree Jericho, pin him, 1...2... :). At this point Brock will interfere, pull the Ref's leg and make the Match a DQ costing HHH the undisputed championship.
Once again, more motivation for a Raw/SD war, but this time it's not bickering between wrestlers, Bishoff has a reason to be mad at Brock now
The next Smackdown, Angle should have a match with Big Show, in which Angle will be screwed over by Ric Flair, and Big Show will demolish him. In a bold move Steph will come out and tell Bischoff that if he likes Big Show so much, take him, and trade him for Goldberg.
On Raw, Bischoff will accept the trade, and Goldberg will go packing to Smackdown, a place where he will get the respect he deserves (riiight ;)).
Of course, this same night there is the re-match for the WWE title. Tensions are high Back stage because a lot of people have it out for Brock, but he will be kept safe in a special Smackdown locker room which is going to be protected by Goldberg and Angle.
Before the match starts HHH will Challenge Brock to a match at the next PPV, and all titles brought into the match will have to be defended... No Reply from Brock. Then HHH will go on calling Brock weak, and talking about how he ran from HHH before and that he was scared to go one on one with him. At this point Brock comes out and gladly accepts HHH's offer, title, or no title. But... after acceptance, Bishoff comes out and says that he doesn't want HHH to fight brock and he doesn't approve of the match, and says that it will not happen.
Later this same night The Rock should make his comeback, and announce that he is angry with the trade Bishoff and Steph made and that he wants a rematch with Goldberg. He will also make straight blows at the audience for cheering him last time instead of Goldberg, and call them names and try his hardest to fight the fans head up.
Then, finally, the match to end this "turning point" show, Jericho vs Brock Part: II HIAC. Much unlike every other match I listed, this one will not have any huge interference HHH and Flair will come to ringside, but not lay a finger on anybody. Brock wins cleanly. HHH seems satisfied with the result.
ah yes, reminds me of the good ol days... any wrestling fan may say the end will be predictable, but eh, we'lll see
On Smackdown Steph and Bischoff will sign the Match for The Rock vs Goldberg 2, and now that SD got it's belt back, Bishoff thinks that Brock vs HHH should happen so he can win the belt back on Raw, and Steph agrees to it.
Also, on this SD Jericho will beg for another Re-Match, and Steph denies it, but gives him a match that can make him the #1 contender in a three way match vs Goldberg and Kurt Angle. In this match Goldberg will have control until The Rock comes out and takes him fighting back stage. Then Angle will go over Jericho cleanly to get a shot at the WWE title after the coming PPV.
At this point, a week will be skipped, why? Well, there is nothing in this coming week worth typing, and nothing that has anything to with destroying the split.
So, now we are at the PPV, there are two main matches that are about to happen, Rock vs Goldberg II, and Triple H vs Brock.
Rock vs Goldberg II: At this point, I still see the fans being on The Rock's side, but that is just fine. At the end of this Match Goldberg will spere The Rock, and Put him in the Jack Hammer. In the middle of the count Goldberg will stand up as none other than Steve Austin comes out. Austin and Goldberg will be in a stare down and the fans will definitely be on Austin's side on this. Rock Will give Goldberg a low Blow and try to pin him. Austin will kick him out and give Rock a Stunner, Goldberg wins, and Austin announces his allegiance with SMackdown even though he will remain the co-manager of Raw.
HHH vs Brock Obviously will be the most anticipated match of the year if it happened this year, even more anticipated than WM itself. This will be a complete toss up... to the fans at least.
after a good 20 minutes of fighting, like all HHH matches, cheating will start. First evolution comes out, and they get chased off by Angle and Goldberg. 5 more minutes of slow battling later and Stephanie McMahon comes out, and walks to the ring... then she steps back on to the ramp and waves somebody in from the back stage.
The lights dim nWo Music starts to play... but then out of nowhere BAM...
...
...
The Referee hits Brock Lensar over the head with a Steel chair, HHH pins and wins, and Steph just walks away with a crooked smile on her face. What just happened???
Stay tuned for phase two, the second step in bringing the shows together.
Discussion: What do you believe happend? Why do you think it happend? Why do you think I would go this route?
Well, just remember, the goal is to make two shows become one agaion, and every move I make gets it closer to that reality

Game, I have no clue what will happen next. Both yours and Strangler's were good reads and would make the shows a lot more interesting for the time you buys booked up to, at least.
A Steve Corino and Benoit alliance? DAMN that would rule.
Oh yeah, I'll probably write up a storyline that involves the split as well pretty soon.
The referee was someone else? I don't know...
But please, in any future booking ideas, the first thing you must do is not allow Triple H to retain the title. PLEASE!

My ideas pretty much change weekly as the WWE does some stuff that are hard to fix.
I say keep the brand extension going as it seems to work well if done properly. They have already evened out the titles Raw has the World, IC, Tag and Women's while SD has the WWE Ttile, US, Tag and Crusierweight. I say move all the crusierweights to SD and all the women to Raw. I mean really, if you aren't gonna ultize them and they can't fight for a belt, what good are they?
Now that they got the brands leveled. Get rid of Vince, I mean he can just disappear with no real story.
Leading to Summerslam, as I think wrestling should work in seasons now, leading to SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Road to WrestleMania and the cycle continues.
Anyhow with the upcoming Vengeance, they should have someone take out Big Show early in the night say on ike Heat. Then have Steph come out at the beginning of the show, and say even though her father has given her complete control of SmackDown once again, she will follow his last order, and the WWE title match will be a Triple Thrat Match. She says she just needs to find a suitable oppenent for Brock and Kurt.
Throughout the night, they show various interviews with Brock and Kurt saying they aren't really concerned as they feel they will win.
Assuming that Billy Gunn and Chris Benoit go to the finals of the US Title Tourney. Right before he comes out for his match, John Cena (after successfully defeating the Undertaker with help from the FBI) attacks Chris Benoit and hurts him. Steph says there is no time to find a replacement so Cena will take his place, but she will deal with him on SmackDown. Cena wins the US title.
So it's main event time, and then Brock and Kurt comes out. Steph than hits the stage, and says she couldn't find a replacement so it wil be one-on-one, but before she can announce it, Benoit's music hits up and he comes out holding his ribs. Steph asks if he is any condition to wrestle, and he simply nods and walks towards the ring. The match is back and forth for some time with Benoit not seeing too much action due to his injury. The match reaches a boiling point near the end when John Cena makes his presence known once again. He walks to the ring with his chain in hand, he sneaks up behind Benoit, but instead of hitting him, he nails Kurt and drags Brock out. Benoit covers, 1...2..3.. and he is the new champ. Cena than goes to the ring to face Benoit. They stare at each other. Brock gets in the ring, and Benoit clocks him with the belt before shaking hands with Cena. The US and WWE Champion are together.
Forward to SmackDown, where Steph is chowing out Benoit for tricking her. She signs them both to defend their newly won titles. Cena will defend against Tajiri and Benoit against an oppenent of Steph's choosing.
Cena and Tajiri's match comes up. After a ref bump, Tajiri locks in the tarantula and as he has the move on, Eddie comes in and wacks him with the US Title before delivering a Frog Splash. He wakes up the ref in time for Cena to finish him off with the F-U. Cena just looks at Eddie weird. Who shouts, it wasn't for you, it was to get at him.
Benoit than comes out for his match with Cena. They ask about Benoit's oppenent, when Steph comes on the ramp, and says Cena you should know this man real well, when Undertaker's music hits up. He comes out riding on his motorcycle. Steph announces it's a no-DQ match as Benoit gets a look of concern on his face. Steph is about to leave when she also says, she told Cena she will get back at him, and he must leave ringside. If he returns, Benoit will be DQed and striped of his gold. Cena leaves pissed.
Benoit and Taker have a nice back and forth match. Taker is able to gain the upperhand and deliver the chokeslam, he signals for the Last Ride when Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin come out from the crowd and lay into the Undertaker with vicious chairshots. Benoit than ascends the top-rope and delivers a flying headbutt to score the 1..2..3. After the match they continue to lay it into Taker. When Brock and Kurt come to make the save, and they clean house. Cena than runs in with chain in hand, and the number game catches up to Brock and Kurt. Eddie than runs out, but as Brock gets up, he dropkicks him. Brock, Kurt and Taker are left in a bloody mess, and Cena, Benoit, Team Angle and Eddie Guerrorro are left standing tall.
That's part one for SD, Raw coming soon.

That'd be awesome BAB, I like how two of these fantasy booking ideas involve Benoit heavily. Also why the would never happen. Heh...

Looking at what I just said to nWoCHRISnWo... you could probably guess what I'm going to say ;)
Also, HHH winning causes a chain of events that I would rather see than if Brock were to win. In a way it kinda makes them equals... you will understand when I post part 2.

Ah yes... Month one of control over the story line has passed... and we have a new undisputed champion (HHH), a person who has control over Raw but is clearly aligned with Smackdown (Austin), a guy who got screwed out of the belt by what appeared to be his show's manager (Brock)... just for a quick summary.
This brings us to the start of Phase 2... The difference here is that I'm going to organize what events happen a lot better by posting what happens on each show leading up to the next PPV. Just for the sake of being consistent, there will be 4 Raws and 4 Smackdowns.
Soooo to kick it all off:
The Raw after the PPV
-The show starts off with Bischoff once again claiming victory over Steph (and Austin), and announcing the new undisputed Champion. HHH comes out and says that Brock got exactly what he deserved. Bishoff interrupts HHH and asks what exactly happened that night and if that was planned or not. HHH replies by saying he set it up all by himself, and says that he paid off the Ref. Then Bischoff asks what was with the nWo Music, and Stephanie McMahon, HHH shrugs and beats the crap out of Bischoff.
-After a few Matches, Bischoff comes out Pissed off and announces that there will be a #1 contender’s match for the World Championship. He admits that he has held HHH's had far too long, and that he would rather see some new blood win the title... he regrets never putting HHH in a match against Goldberg that he says that was the past, this is now. The match will be next Raw, The Rock vs Kevin Nash vs Jericho vs Big Show. Also, he announces the Main event for the Night, The Rock & Kevin Nash in a Tag Match against Jericho and Big Show. As a little "Sneak Preview"
-The Main event: This match will be full of backstabbing... Toward the end of the Match it looked more like Rock vs Nash and Jericho vs Big Show. Austin comes out and makes an announcement that changes the tone of the Match.
"Next week it will not be a four way match, whichever team wins this match will get a one on one match to be the #1 contender, and that's the bottom line"
After this announcement their focus quickly changes, and the match goes on more as planned. At the End of the match Rock and Nash back into each other while fighting Jericho and Show and Rock turns around and Rock Bottoms Nash. Then he goes after Big Show who Choke Slams Rock and Jericho pins Nash for the #1 contender shot.
Jericho and Show def. Nash and The Rock
The Smackdown After the PPV
-The show Kicks off with Brock storming to the ring furiously and he says he has two things to discuss. The first thing being HHH. He calls HHH a complete coward and the most Overrated wrestler in the history of the WWE. He explains that HHH can't fight like a Man and exclaims that he can't even remember the last time HHH won a match fairly. He also goes on to say that HHH has two belts around his waist that he didn't earn, he won the world championship by having it handed to him, and he won the WWE championship by paying off a Referee. He says that HHH is a bitch if he doesn't defend the title against him at the next PPV.
Then he goes on to his second topic, Stephanie McMahon... he goes on to say that he was putting his ass on the line just to save Steph's product and he helped HHH win!?! Then there is an interruption, Angle comes out and says that Brock needs to stop whining. Angle says that Brock isn’t getting a match vs HHH at the next PPV because Angle won the #1 contenders match for the WWE title. Angle also goes on to say that Steph may not have been the one who set him up, and that he needs to talk with her before jumping to conclusions.
Then Angle will say, maybe she wanted him to win so a real Hero like himself can take the belt back from HHH. He says that as long as HHH has the SD belt, he will always be linked to the show, and that would not only be a smart marketing move, but putting the Olympic hero in battle would be a lot smarter. At this point Brock attacks Angle and Steph interrupts them on the Titantron (well not exactly).
She says that she was sorry for what happened last night, and that him losing the match wasn't the plan... but sense he is bitching about her she will give him a real reason to. The main event tonight will be Brock Lensar vs Goldberg and Angle in an Elimination, No disqualification handicap match. Also, If Goldberg and Angle lose, Goldberg will be suspended for a month, and Angle will lose his #1 contender Ticket.
-The Main Event: This is the most brutal corner Brock has ever been put into, No Tags, no DQ, no nothing, he just has to get both of their shoulders down. Toward the end of the Match Brock will jump over one of Goldberg’s spheres and he will sphere Angle on accedent. When Goldberg Turns around Brock puts him in the F5... then goes to Angle and puts him in the F5. Puts Angle down pins him 1...2.....:)....3. He goes back over to Goldberg, picks him up and puts him in a Jackhammer. Pins him 1....2....Goldberg kicks out! They both arise slowly and Goldberg spheres Brock, then he sets him up for the Jackhammer... then Austin's Music starts to play... Austin Rushes the Ring and stares down Goldberg, Brock gets up and Austin Turns around and gives Brock a Stunner, then he looks back over at Goldberg, Goldberg smiles and they shake hands, then Austin gives Goldberg a Stunner... Brock is back up again, and he gets another stunner. Austin rolls Goldberg on top of Brock and Goldberg wins.
Goldberg & Angle Def Brock
Thoughts on Week: If you liked it, I must say, it's laughable how easy it is to take old idea and put new faces and new twists on them... all in the name of entertaining television ;). HHH Remains Champ, and Brock is in a screwed up position. Not much of an appearance of Raw on SD, or SD on Raw, but to get everything that's happening story wise you almost have to watch both. That's how you pump ratings, separating SD fans from Raw fans was a stupid idea.
Because this is taking too damn long to write, Phase 2 halts here let's just call it phase 2: part 1... I will post Part 2 and hopefully 3 tomorrow, I already have it planned out what will happen, but putting it on paper is kinda frustrating... so until next time, good fight good night ;)
