View Full Version : I lost about 30 pictures because my stupid PC crashed!

I hate Bill Gates.

I had moved photos in one folder from my digital camera to my PC, and was copying the second one, when suddenly the PC shut off. I dunno how or why. :mad:
So when I checked, the photos of the first folder had disapeared. :mad2: The ones of the second folder were still on the original flash media card, the others were just gone.... :baby: There were some pretty good, cool and funny pictures among them! DAMN!! :mad:

*checks the TEMP folder of windows*

get a File Recovery program.

they can get files back even after they been totally deleted.

think ones called like FileRecovery Pro or something like that.

look around.

Hmm... would it make any difference if I shut down the PC? Perhaps it's fresher in the memory or something?? :unsure:

Damn I don't understand it... oh well, I shouldn't have MOVED it, but COPIED. :mad:

I'll try to get one of those programs... could I find one on Kazaa? Oh wait, I see a free download here (http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/File_Maintenance_and_Repair_Utilities/FILERECOVERY__Professional_Download.html)... :unsure:

Man, those are great peaces of software!
I recovered most of the images from the original flash card! :D Even with the original quality! A few pics were really messed up... I could patch them if I want, but fortunately they're not the best pictures. ^_^

You could've also tried Windows XP's system restore or whatever its called...assuming your using XP. Its saved my ass once allready, and I've only had my new PC a month.
