Saikano or Battle Royale?

Battle Royale is supposedly very violent. I don't know about anime, but I remember hearing TokyoPop would print manga for it.

Saikano is supposed to be a very depressing anime. I don't know about manga. I'd to see both of these. Has one seen/read any of these?

I think I've heard the names before but I'm not actually familar with either of their content...

What are they about? Do you know?

Battle Royale is about a game that is set in Tokyo in the future. In the new government system, there is a new TV show called "The Program". The Program consists of a random ninth grade class battling it out on a barren island where its inhabitants have all been evacuated. The students are supposed to kill each other until one survives. There is no way for anyone to leave the island, and if there isn't a winner after three days, everyone dies. Wonderful, yes?

Saikano (full name : Saishu-Heiki Kanojo or in English She, The Ultimate Weapon) is about a couple ( :love: ) who first started going out because the female was dared to do it since she liked a certain boy. Eventually they grew to love each other, but the girl, Chise, had a problem. One day, Chise's boyfriend, Shuji was hanging out in a mall with his friends, until there was an air raid. One of his friends dies, and Shuji see Chise in a different form. When Shuji see this Chise explains to him that she is a weapon on mass destruction used by the army. Basically from that, the show continues on about their relationship and Chise's military problem. The show is very depressing, and as far as I have heard it is as depressing as the Cowboy Bebop Anime (not the movie) ending, if not it is more depressing.

Hope that cleared up some stuff.

I've seen Battle Royale. It was a pretty good anime and it was kind of sad.

They've made a Battle Royale movie with real people. It got banned in Japan. lol

I haven't seen the anime but I've seen the one with real people. It deserved to be banned. TEE HEE.

They've made a Battle Royale movie with real people. It got banned in Japan. lol
It wasn't banned, there was just people that wanted it banned. It's also one of the best movies I've ever seen. I recommend everyone download off of Kazaa. Volume 1 of the manga is also out.

I finally just finished watching the movie yesterday. The movie was excellent and the manga is even better. If anyone wants to get it for free and has mIRC go to any random mIRC-X server and to the channel #mangaproject. Run a search on Battle Royale by typing @find Battle Royale. It should give you some results and a trigger. Copy the trigger and paste it in the channel window. If anyone else need help from there on just PM me or e-mail me at mickeyd0113@yahoo.com

I remember that part. Some stupid filthy slut that had sex with a whole bunch of guys used that sickle to cut halfway into a girl's neck and leave her in a very bloody state. The girl she killed was one of the first to die.

Well, I just read Battle Royale 1, and I must say, it's grotesque. I loved it! I deeply recommend it.
