GCN already pulled out most of it's cards, I wonder what's gonna save it US vs Xbox for the next couple of years.
Also, Enter The Matrix's sales are amazing! Even though it's not that great of a game, I think it's exactly what movie based games should be like in the future. Both the story and the gameplay warranted a purchase...

As usual? I think the PS2 and GBA are normally a lot closer... The reason GBA sales are so high is probably because of the release of the GBA SP... Which isn't an "As usual" kinda thing... :sneaky:

I thought even in the months before the GBA SP was released, it still beat out any console every month...it didn't smother the competition like it did this time, but I always thought it was usually a little higher...I could be wrong tho...

Indeed.......... Do you by any chance know what that has to do with my reply to Jason's post?
By the way GBA sucks :) I bet SP is a helluva lot better, but I haaaaate the regular model's screen... I'm borrowing my friend (along with Castlevania: CotM, Mario Kart, and Advance Wars)... Just thought I'd say that :D

Actually, I was warning you about Damage Control. :p Obviously you didn't catch on. Oh well.
Oh, and..

It's funny and all if you try to make fun of me being an idiot, because I am, and I know I am, but using somebody else's image is no good, and especially when it's Cockles' image, and it's way past the expiration date--which was a month ago before E3.. In addition, to have it not even relate to the console we were talking about could have been planned to a degree, at least. What would have been right, and would have saved your ass, would be the PS2 baby:
http://www.btinternet.com/~cockles/ps2_damage.jpg
Now what would have been an incredibly stupid move would be posting the Xbox baby. And I salute you to that at least for not posting that.

-5 ;) Keep trying. What's funny on GA isn't necessarily.. understood by members of another forum.

Dyne, hows about you post some GBA and PS2 worldwide sales numbers instead of saying that DH is bailing?
The Cube logo is there because it's the only one I could find relating to Nintendo :( ;)

No no no, it was apparent he was trying to put down the GBA for being ahead of the PS2. And I know he owns a PS2. ;) Using SP as an excuse is damage control. ;)

Jason, there is a HUGE diference. PSOne is a smaller verson of Psx, no enancements, no nothing. Plus PSOne wasn't released while Psx was still selling 200,000 units perweek... Psx was far gone and on it's death bed when PSOne came.
GBA, on the other hand, is still in it's sales "prime", and SP came with more than a shape shift.
-EDIT-
The Psx/PSOne comparision is more like saing the origanal Gameboy has nothing to do with Gameboy pocket ;) Which they had everything to do with each other. SP is quite a bit more of a change.

It really isn't all that much of a change. I'd still consider classifying the GB SP and GBA. All that it has is a backlight, rechargable batteries, and different controller format. It still plays the same games and nothing new.

That's why I said you can't use it as an excuse, and why I put the bail out picture.
Can we have nachos now? All this confusion is getting me hungry.

yeah, you are right, that is absolutly no change at all
If the change is big enough that original GBA owners would turn around and warrant a purchase of this system, I think that the launch of it could be used as an excuse for it bumping up in sales.
I think that it can be counted with GBA, but it's more than a goodexcuse for the pumped up sales. Give it a few months, I'm sure it will get back down to normal.
Anybody who thinks GBA:SP doesn't have EVERYTHING to do with this bump in sales figures is completly ignorant. In other words it's like thinking if there was no "SP" GBA would still be selling this well right now... give me a break.
DsH didn't bail out of anything, he simply stated a fact.

Ok, even though it has different features, it is still the same thing. Like computers, one could be made by compaq in 1990 and then u can look at an Alienware that cost 4,000. The Alienware is a huge improvement but it is still a computer.
Do you see where I'm getting at?

So what we're all saying here is that the launch of the GBA SP is no reason for the system to tally higher sales numbers?

I wasn't using it as an excuse like "Ooo they shouldn't count GBA SP as the same thing as GBA", I was saying it's a new thing, and when new things come out they sell at lot all at once for the first few weeks or so, and when there's a surge in sales for any reason it's not an 'as usual' kinda thing...
mmm nachos. I just came back from seeing bruce almighty,, and they gave me the nacho sauce in those kind of ketchup packets. I was like, wtf. So, I had to squirt out my nacho sauce :shake: in the dark and it sucked. Stupid famous players concession.

Im sure MK: DD will be a huge seller, and maybe F-zero with the right marketing. Nintendo has also said a Pokemon RPG is in the works.

God danm, Atari! You have a perfectly good movie franchise and you still manage to fudge it up!
...by not making a game for the GBA. :shakehead
