Looks... Meh... I don't like the P.
I wonder why it made out of interconnected circles...

I don't really think it's the real logo.

That can't be real... Can it?... It looks....... odd... o.O
Then again I remember people complaining about PS2's logo when it was first revealed... But at least PS2's is nice and blue...

it's fake, I've confirmed it with multiple sources, it was created by EGM in one of their articles related to Sony's future in the video game industry.

It looks stupid, but I think the basic concept could work with the circle pattern. Whoever made it pulled it off poorly though...

That looks amazing.
Lame. I'd rather have PS3 in the same font as PS2.

Which were completely different from one another  The PS1 logo ended up being sort of the "Playstation Family" logo... So it's also on PS2, along with the PS2 logo that's all blue font yay fun... yep...

It's most likely fake (or it is).
They just change the number, and that's it. And it's so confusing, first impression by people will be wtf. Well that was my first impression

Yeah, I know. I want to the PS3 to look like a fused design of the PS2 and PS1 logos.

I think that logo is stupid and you can bearly tell what it says.

fused together? are you high?
Anyway, most non-Playstation fans were criticizing Sony for being so unoriginal by calling their second system the 'Playstation 2'...and now some people are saying that they should copy their previous logo and just change one little thing? I don't know if these are the same people, but I wouldn't doubt it.

No. The fusion industry is actually becoming quite popular. The process of fusion is used in many of today's ordinary products. Science rules!

lol, I remember that, just one of hundreds of ways people used to bash Sony. I don't think things would have been any better if they named Ps2 Super Playstation, and Ps3 Ultra Playstation (or Playstation 256 in us ;)), and Ps4 the Gamebox.
I think they have the right idea by not changing the name much. I also don't mind the fact that they use the same controlers now... I wonder if Ps3 will use the same controler as Ps2 with little/no enhancements... that would be cool imo.

I think the Idea of not changing the controller is stupid. Game technology gets better and better, shouldnt controller technology? Besides, the playstation controller is far from perfect.

I think that is is the most perfect controller out to date. It has all the buttons needed.. I can maybe see them fitting two more where the ring fingers rest... that would be cool.
i myself would also say its by far the most new perfect controller around.
all i can see them doing is maby curving it a little to form to ones hand, but even then not a lot.
and the controller technology does change. doesnt mean the look and layout need to.
i hope the Controller stays exactly the same for ps3

The dual shock needs to change the position of the d pad and the left stick and go with 6 face buttons. That would be damn near perfect. Hopefully they tighten the sticks up a little too.
d pad and left stick shoudl stay EXACTLY where they are. thoes are wondeful there
they could add six face buttons maybe. as long as they dont mess up the comfort of the 4 they already have.

So then would would they make the buttons smaller? Or make the controller bigger?
I like it the way it is. Screw the 6 face buttons.. Just at buttons where the two handles are.. For your ring fings.
thats what i said. as long as they dont mess up the buttons now. they can add a couple more if they really want to wherever.
IMO they dont need to tho.

Hmm, ring fingers aren't as coordinated as middle fingers or index fingers. I like the idea of 6 buttons, however.

But I was feeling the controller... And I think that it could work out well.

Well, I love the PS2 controller. The only thing that bothers me is when you play it, it doesn't feel like a new system. Kind of disappointing...
