Well I still like the controller, no matter what anyone says.

The Duke is fantastic for Halo, but for everything else I prefer the S.

Well, I think it's better for Halo too... but for other games I like whichever controller I use first more. Once you get used to the layout of one or the other in a certain game, it's hard to switch.
I don't think either is outright better, but I can say that I do prefer Xbox's big clunky first controller to GCN's and Ps2's... different hands, different people, different preferences.

Well my Japanese friend got a hold of my Xbox controller, and she couldn't reach some of the buttons. Mind you she's 34

Most American people can't reach some of the buttons. Requires a shift of the hand.

I remember when EB had a demo kiosk before/shortly after the XBox came out. I tried one of the games on Fuzion Frenzy (ugh) and I chose this game that I'm supposed to push 1 or 2 buttons in a certain matter. It's harder then hell for me to hit the A button and the Y Button at the same time! (without hitting other buttons on the 2 sides) (I think since I dont have an XB controller in front of me). I agree the S is better and thats all I use when I go to my friends house and do 4 player Halo.
Like they said...I can't figure out who "helped" design the Xbox and its controller. I swear they were idiotic "young'ns" who said "make it big. I like it big." Maybe Microsoft will actually FIND people with knowledge of the industry. Not dumbasses

The Saturn pad was a lot worst then the Xbox one I believe... maybe that's because I have a ring size of 15 (big giant hands). Still, I have to admit the pad was junk. According to a friend who read the book one book on Xbox I guess the focuse grouped college dorm guys that probably rarely played Japanese designed anything...
I'm surprised by how good this article is... some of the choices are really inspired (the Donkey Kong lawsuit etc.)

Maybe Women and Children (or a guy with small girlish hands ;), according to CamFu *cough*)
Most people I know have no problems with the Xbox controler whatsoever, even little kids.

I think the white and black buttons are placed oddly. At least when I play it at my friends house. (speaking of the original cotroller). Just too much of a stretch for my thumb, and I have big hands.
I like the design better than the S. Start button beside the analog to the left? Ugh.
I don't have particularily large hands, either. I don't get it. I complained how big it was at first. But I played games. If you play with it for more than a month, you'll sink in. I wouldn't move on to an S if I was forced to.

I have no problem in reaching all the buttons, it's just takes some effort. I do agree however that the Saturn controller is just as, if not more uncomfortable than the normal Xbox controller.

Origional Xbox controller=horrible, a disgrace to controllers everywhere.
Xbox controller S=a very large inprovement, but still not quite up to par with Gamecube's.

I like the Gamecube controller if the Z button is not necessary, but if you need to use the Z button it sucks. I had to go out and buy the Mad Cats controller because I would have had to take Yoga to hit the Z button on the normal controller. Very poor design where that button is concerned.
I still like the XBox controller, and I think most people wouldn't mind it if they gave it some time and let their hands get used to it.

Agreed. The Z button is horrid, and why isn't there one on the left side.
The C stick and D pad are quite awful too.
Other than that it's a good controller.

Yep, there should have been two Z-buttons. I still reckon the black and white buttons on the Xbox controller (both the S and normal) are around as awkward to press as the Z button, but none of those buttons are as badly placed as people make them out to be.
In the Z-buttons case, very rarely do the R and Z button have to be pressed at the same time, so I just use my index finger for both buttons (though I rest it on the R button all the time). You just have to stretch you finger back, but just as much as you have to strech your thumb up/down for the black and white buttons on the normal/S controller.
Another thing that should have been on the GC controller were the clickable analogue sticks, which should also be tougher to press on the DS2/Xbox controllers.

I don't have a problem with the size as much as the button layout or controller design. Everyone I've met have big enough hands to use the thing, they just find it kinda weird and non-practical.
