Pretty much the exact same. Nothing you'd notice unless you played both versions.

I've heard from a few people that the XBox version has less items/rares then the 'Cube version. But I can't really give actual proof of this:unsure:. I'd get it anyways just because 100's of hours of your life will be sucked into this.

I'm just worried getting the GC version because I've heard stories of people losing thier data files and stuff. Has anyone heards stories of that happening to the XBox version?

I haven't had a full FSOD (Freeze Screen of Death) yet, but I have lost any unequipped items that I was carrying with me only once so far (thank god). I'd expect the XBox version to have less FSOD since its BB only and you'll almost never have to worry about getting kicked offline when it happens to save at that exact moment. But its all up to what controller you like better, GC or XB.

The Xbox version supports talking with other players via the communicator, which of course the GameCube version does not.

The Xbox version also includes two months free. I'm not sure that the GameCube version does.

I think the GC only gets one month free.

Yeah, its only 1 month for GC. Which I'm taking advantage of right now. I forgot about the whole voice chat. That helps tremendously when playing PSO.

Yes and no.

Yes, GC has more quests released and some items were only released during those quests.

No, Xbox has hacked weapons including some that don't exist in the game at this moment. So Xbox really has more items out.

Xbox has voice chat, with a 1.5 second voice lag. Gamecube doesn't have to deal with voice chat in the lobbies.

GC requires a keyboard to communicate well. Xbox has horrible keyboard support.

Xbox has new sound effects. Those sound effects suck. GC has the weird blur in the boss intros, Xbox does not.

As for corruption, I've only heard of 2 people who have corrupted. Many have had FSOD.

God... it's so hard to choose. Which ones are you guys using?

Well, think about this:

You already own an Xbox Live starter kit. And you would get 2 months free with the Xbox version for only $40.

You would have to buy a network adapter for the GameCube version, and probably a keyboard. Also the GameCube version is $50.

no... I mentioned I was going to buy xBox Live with PSO.

Is the Starter Kit still only $50 or did they jack it up to 70?

You said that you bought the kit here: http://www.gametavern.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5695

And it is still only $50.

I play on Xbox because all my MotoGP buddies play on Xbox. No one I know plays on GC, otherwise I would play that one.

I think Gekko is about the only one here (besides you) that has the XB version of PSO. Unless someone else got it, I haven't heard:unsure:

Hey guys. I m torn as to whther or not its worth it for me t get PSO.

1) I work between 10 and 12 hours a day and travel about one week a month.

2) I have no idea what kind of quality the game is. Is i like Everquest?

3) I am afraid I will be sucked in, quit working and drop dead after a 36 hour session.

Please advise.

I'd say if you alreayd have Xbox live u might want to give it a try. I haven;t gotten too addicted yet in the game, because I've been too busy. I enjoy it though. You get a 2 months free trial so you can try it out.

I have a question for any PSO XBoxers that have at least beaten it on Normal. When you watch the credits, what does it say the President of Sega is? I'd think they would've changed it to someone other then Peter Moore. Unless they are lazy.
