- Nintendo has canceled this year's Nintendo Space World Expo in Japan, for the second time in a row. The last Space World Expo took place in 2001.

Was anyone actually expecting a spaceworld this year? When Nintendo cancelled last year's spaceworld they said that they were going to replace it with that traveling nintendo booth thing with a bunch of pikachu mascots and stuff. Nintendo didn't mention anything about a spaceworld before, during, or after E3. And they continually referred to the tokyo gaming show or whatever it's called.

so meh, this isn't a shock to me.

hmm, well. This ha changed all my predictions. I now expect them to unveil something for their next consoles at E3 2004.

Does Nintendo not have the money to hold a Spaceworld? I would rather have a Spaceworld then a traveling Nintendo whatchamacallit. Unless they unveil something big at whatever they do, I could care less what Nintendo does at anything in Japan.

Im sure nintendo has enough money for one. It might be a time issue, or they wont be ready to unveil something they want at it, or they thought last years smaller shows were more successful.

Maybe they don't have anything big they have that's ready to unveil, so why bother?

I agree nintendo probably does not have anything worth unveiling.

I guessed they showed it all at E3

If they did, thats pretty sad. Nintendo had a so-so E3. I'm guessing just because they unveiled almost everything before it, so by the time E3 happeneed, we were like, yeah, looks great, but I've already seen pictures and maybe a video. But eh, thats just my opinion.

They'll probably wait until next E3 to show off their last BIG games for Gamecube (Mario 128??? Zelda??? Metroid Prime 2???).

Yeah, Its likely a combination of both they dont have anything READY to show by then, so E3 2004 gives them more time. As well as it will probably make a bigger splash at the next E3. Its probably a good thing cause if they let too much out of the bag they will probably have another surprise-lacking E3.

My bes guess is Nintendo either has nothing they want to show yet, spaceworld wasn't profitable eough, or they DO NOT want to show something because it's no ready, or all three.

My guess is the GCN II, Mario 128, and a bunch fo other cools stuff is going to eb rolled out at these Traveling Nintendo Shows, these are the things they hold for the Average Joe in places like NYC in the US adn throughout Japan in December, my guess is it'd be better for us to have these than no Spaceworld because wheny ou think about it, which si cheaper? Going to the city nearest you to see some new games, or going to Japan learning a forign language and seeing stuff at Spaceworld?

Granted I think theyw ere trying to get rid fo Spacewolrd anyway so this isn't a surpise, but if it shouuld ever return I'm sure it's going to be big, also this years bland E3 line-up tells me that Next year is going to be the NEx-Gen Revelation if that doesn't occur at TGS, Nintend is planning something, the NP Surv's and the lack of E3 games pretty much say so, also why would you hide mario 128 unless you had smething truly fantastic to show when it was done? The answer is you wouldn;t, Nintendo is playing WITH us, they wqnt to see if we can take the secrecy and if we can, will we enjoy the surpise?

I agree, for the most part, but then again Nintendo didnt want to show much of Mario Sunshine either because of the ''Revolutionary new thing''

If that water pack was revolutionary, im Queen Latifah. Wait did I just say something bad about nintendo? Forget I said anything. :blowingup
