"Pretty good. They have more potential than they showed, though"
I still feel Nintendo selling Rare was a stupid idea. They droped talent for Money... But... Perfect Dark Zero will be the true test in my eyes.

From what I've seen, Rare is still what it was on Nintendo, which is basically on ok company that makes a few good games here and there. I wasn't too amazed by their Xbox showing at E3, but I don't think they've gotten worse since leaving Nintendo.
Rare is still Rare, and IMO they aren't that great...besides a few goodies (ironically, the goodies are rare ;))
Meh.
On their own, they probably wouldn't have conceived that Ghoulies game or whatever. I'm disheartened. It also seems like they've really been held back this generation. Their only released game was Star Fox Adventures, and still, that was carried over from the N64 era. After all this time, we see Kameo, some Ghoulies game, and a Conker FPS? The least they could do is show something big like a Banjo-Kazooie game as well, or something. For Perfect Dark, I'd expect them to hold back on it. But Kameo looks vividly refreshing.

I would have voted for "meh, they have more potential then they showed though", but the option wasn't included. So I haven't voted.

I don't know................yet. What were their offerings besides Kameo and Conker?

I really can't tell so far if Rare has lost their touch. But from what I saw at E3, I was more impressed with them while they were with Nintendo.
I hope they get their creativity back

Think they went downhill mid-N64 days. They kept on going on Xbox, no difference.
Yeah, I think Donkey Kong 64 was when people realized they COULD make bad games...

Probably.
I Loved BK (better than SM64 IMO) BT was ok. DK64 just didn't get it. Way Way WAYYYYY to much to collect.
As for Rare on my belovid box I'm quite pumped for the new conker game but beyond that I'm a bit disapointed. I don't doubt that PD0 will be impressive but who knows how long that's going to take. Memory isn't serving me at this hour but I believe that game has been in production since before Halo's release. If they were just going to go with a cell shaded Timespliters 2 I'm sure they've had to completly revamp. I don't think anyone could have truley predicted the success of halo.
edit after I voted.
Now, really, who said that "nintendo got a steal." Put the purple kool-aid down fanboy. Rare might not be up to they're old stuff but even if the game sucks PD0 will still sell an assload of copies. That would have been GREAT for nintendo, now that's great for MS.
One more thing, back on topic.
Who else here would kill for a Live enabled RC Pro Am?

I think they've lost some but not all of their touch since the Nintendo days. Since a chunk of the Rare employees left with the transition, that meant that the quality would most likely not be the same. But until I play some demos of Rare's offerings, I will reserve full judgement. But from what I have seen so far, nothing has really impressed me. Lets hope PD0 turns out good.
