I just started testing out the Firebird browser (Phoenix) Saturday evening. I also have IE 5.5 and Opera 7.11. The IE has been working rather slow recently and especially today when I was at Yahoo checking my emails. Opera does not always seem connect to alot of sites all the time for me even when I was just there.

One noticable problem I had when using the Opera here at GT was it could not show my sig properly as it would not move. Firebird has so far displayed my sig and pages here and at another forum better then the Opera 7.3, 7.10 and 7.11 version(free versions with banners) that I have tried.

What browser(s) do you use and why do you use it.

I like to use Netscape 7 when possible. I hate IE because it's too slow, and hopefully when I get a new motherboard soon, I can test out some more browsers.

Opera 6, 7 and Moz/Firebird in both Win32 and *nix.

They both have their strong points. I prefer the speed and UI of Opera, but Firebird wins on standard compatability and all of that.

IE is just too slow, unstable, non-standards compliant and lacking in features to make it even a contender to eighth place. Heck, I even prefer Lynx to IE these days.

Crazybrowser and I love it. Tabbed browsing and popup killer, 2 features that I can't browse without.

I just recently started using Mozilla Firebird. It is so great, I can't believe it was made from Netscape @_@.

After all of the many nightly Firebird builds for windows that I have tried, I have found that the June 14 build to be the most favorite of mine in being the fastest and the most stable yet.

Wow guys, Firebird rules. I'm never going back to IE.

EDIT: Can anyone tell me how to get Flash player to work on this?

EDIT: Can anyone tell me how to get Flash player to work on this?

Edit: Ah I found it, this is the link to what you need and info on the flash plugin among others.

http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/phoenixwin.html

Some people have problems with the flash player though, I would not know as I have yet to really try the flash player plugin as I have been trying so many builds lately.

Another note: The June 15-16 has a "double rendering" bug and the June 18-19 fixed the "double rendering" bug but has two noticable bugs as in a "save image" and "save link" bug so the June 14 build as of moment is the most recent build I prefer until the bugs get fixed.

edit: June 21 still has the save image bug.
